Lovely outside seating area looking at the moutinans. Service and drinks were great. Great for a sunny day

We have just enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at The Three Shires Inn. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent food and accommodation. In a beautiful location. We would recommend and hope to return again in the future.

Was shocked to be charged £6 for a pint of real ale and a packet of crisps. Didn't try the food. Much cheaper options nearby, so I will avoid next time I am passing (which is pretty often). After the response from the pub to my review I found several cheaper in Grasmere and Ambleside. Thanks Google! :)

The ideal spot to stop for a meal and a pint after walking the countryside. Friendly staff, fabulous local beers, and just a stunning setting. Truly a magical little spot! I hope to be back someday soon, hopefully to stay and not just eat!

Fabulous location in the Langdales (walking distance to the infamous Slaters Bridge). Good selection of drinks and good food. Parking available, but not many spaces and they really are too close together for comfort.

Very good food. A wonderful barman who was extremely respectful to my disabled sister. Made our evening. Thank you

Honestly one of the best meals we've ever eaten. The duck starter and the pheasant main melted in the mouth and the tastes and textures were divine. We were made to feel part of the family and so welcome. Absolutely cracking evening and the landlords should be so proud of what they have achieved. All the staff are excellent and was the highlight to our holiday.

Great place to have a drink and within walking distance of the quarry for a great walk. The staff are polite and helpful as well. Haven't tried the restaurant but seemed really nice and the tables were well prepared.

Nice pub in a wonderful location. Good beers sold as pints but closer to 500ml with the 1cm head. Line measured glasses prevent this problem. I would have asked for a top up but unfortunately my wife went to the bar and she was lucky to have her wine served in a glass with a clear line measure at 250ml. I could have waited for the head to subside to prove the point but I was thirsty...

Lovely stop , nice views and good local beers. Wasn't doing food today but was well reviewed. Staff were friendly even from pointing out facts about photos on the walls to tastes of the beers and gins ! Dog friendly certainly outside. Limited parking but we got parked straight away in a truck
