Food was well cooked and tasty. However the two different pints I had were both off, second pint tasted mouldy. Emailed the company and they are investigating.Informed bar staff of first bad pint, second different pint was half drank, but I could not be bothered to explain to them again.

We enjoyed our visits to this pub. A good selection of real ales and wines and meals were good but not exceptional. What puts this pub above others is the customer service. There was no booking but we were well informed as to wait times and the staff were friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back.

Really lovely place. Highly recommend!Food was delicious - the fish and chips were massive and the stick toffee pudding was amazing. Also very fast and everything was very clean.More than anything, the staff were brilliant- exceptionally friendly and really made us giggle!Great location, great food, great staff!

I love a pub at the end of a good walk and this pub is nicely situated a good walking distance from a campsite hence it'san obvious choice. Portion sizes are small, nice tasting food but not great for the prices they're asking.Any keen walker will have tried out a range of pubs during their travels and realise most decent pubs will do a burger and fries around the £11-£14 range. Not here though, be prepared to shell out between £18-£20! All other mains were the same price...Deserts were between £6,50 and £9.£9 for a THIN slice of lemon tart seemed a bit...much but if people are keen and happy to pay those prices more power to them.Pub is nice looking, plenty of benches outside and in a nice location, just shame about the prices. Expect to pay £40/ person for a starter, main, dessert and drink.

I am fussy. Like, really fussy. With wine and food. This most excellent, quality and welcoming pub meets the highest of standards in my opinion. The tastiest vegan burger I have ever had the pleasure to consume (and I did so with such relsh!). Still smacking my lips over the best sticky toffee pudding in the world. The Rioja seemed to have been made by happy, shiny people. And the staff? Well they were the best bit!!! A hug of a building with charm and a pleasant atmosphere. I really, really cannot wait to go back. Wish I could give it 10 stars.

Good traditional pub. Solid food, reliable beer and friendly staff. Doesn't push boundaries or anything like that, but it is a brilliant place for a nice meal and has a good range of drinks (but only one cider on tap when I visited).

Proper pub in a beautiful setting. Sit on the terrace and take in the sun or sit inside and enjoy the atmosphere. Service is second to none. So polite and attentive. All food going out was quick and looked quick 🙂

Not my first visit to the inn and certainly won't be my last. In the summer booking in advance appears to be a must as is the popularity of the place.A good wide selection of local ales available with amazing food on the menu. I had the lamb Henry and it was fall off the bone tender with excellently seasoned mashed potatoes and pan sauce

Great location as we was staying in Chapel Stile . Friendly staff who were smiling and making you feel welcome especially Dave , Rachel, Christine and Tomas . Nice drinks and great food and would recommend to anyone. Reduced hours at present because of current situation and other pubs in the area are closed for couple of days a week or totally closed. Big thank you to Dave for being a great host.
