Waterhead Coffee Shop in South Lakeland

Fantastic little shop. Great for a quick meal and treat with coffee. Location and view are perfect, and with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely happy we stopped here instead of spending more time and money at a restaurant…freed us up to explore and enjoy the day.

A lovely little cafe, which serves light lunches and cakes and desserts. Whenever I come, I have something sweet - there's a tempting selection of scones, cakes, and pastries, and they're always fresh and delicious. There's some seating inside, and more tables outside on the terrace - all with wonderful views of Windermere. A lovely place to have lunch or an afternoon treat.

Great view and amazing location with a nice patio. Really lovely, friendly coffee, snacks and ice cream shop right on the lake, just off the road, and close to a big public parking lot. We enjoyed a good Americano, scone with jam and clotted cream, and a hot malted milk drink. You can also pick up a bag of bird feed for the resident ducks and swans for 50p.

Amazing selection of freshly prepared food. Great coffee. Friendly atmosphere with warm fire and stunning view over the lake. Had a lovely chat with the proprietor.

Choc dip ice cream! Perfect location and the choc dip has been my fave since childhood! A must when visiting the area and well worth waiting in the queue!

Visited this cafe while waiting for a ferry. Small place, gets really busy when the weather is nice. Good coffee and delicious blueberry & cream scone. The location is great as you can do take away and then sit at waterfront or go the nearby park.

A popular little coffee shop by the pier that works on a high turnover of customers. Offers some lovely scones as well as cakes, drinks and ice cream. Outdoor seating is available with a lovely view of the water. This is a place for a pitstop rather than a destination in itself. A panini or snack to fuel up, a seat to take a break and you've done all you need. That said, the scones are nice and it stands above the level of many nearby coffee shops. Worth a stop if you need a quick bite.

Very cute and warm cafe... Design is fabulous.Homemade scones are very tasty..Excellent little cafe to pop into after you get if the boat at Ambleside.
