Westmorland Inn in South Lakeland

Food lovely, place really nice and owner great. Unfortunately girl who served us was useless. Took 15 minutes to get first two drinks and 14 minutes for secon single pint...there six people in, god help you if it's full. Overall it's a nice place to eat...but bar service 🤦‍♂️

From the street view the Westmorland does not have great street appeal but this belies what you will find inside.The main restaurant area is downstairs and was lovely.The food standard was very good, my party of four all ordered differently and everyone gave it the thumbs up. Just be aware that portion sizes are large so you will need a good appetite.Service was good with just the correct amount of friendliness.I booked my table for tomorrow already.

Popped in here twice, once during the afternoon and once in the evening, whilst on a recent weekend away.Staff were very friendly and there was always seating available (although armchair in far left corner needs fixing/replacing). Seems to attract nice people as it had a lovely atmosphere.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere, what more could you want. 2 kids, 2 parents and 2 Grandparents all on one table, plenty of menu choice for everyone, every meal was plentiful and delicious (Roast dinner, Sloppy Joe, Steak pie, Veggie sausage and mash, Burger, Fish goujons) Well worth another visit so we went back again the following evening, different staff but same great service, 😋👍

A genuine hidden gem. From the outside it looks like a small high steet pub but once inside you see a lovely bar area and stairs to a lower floor seating area and restaurant.The restaurant setting is lovely and good qaulity food is served. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be visiting again 👍

Stayed nearby and were quickly sorry we did not stay here. Very relaxing atmosphere. Exceptionally friendly staff and amazing food served by Amie and Jayan. Amazingly friendly bar staff whom introduced me to blueberry vodka! Thanks guys we had a super time 👍😁

Great pub grub. Visited the restaurant downstairs on the first night of our week-long stay in Windermere and went back two days later. Huge portions! Our server recommended the beef pie and wow - it was amazing (brought back memories of how my Nan made it when I was a kid). Chips were delish! Certainly didn't need breakfast the next day! Kids loved their food too

Visited Bowness last week and ate here twice. Really lovely food and service was excellent. Both nights were full with only one person serving but still made the time to check on every table and make conversation. Super friendly and highly recommend. Also dog friendly!

Came here for tea on Easter Sunday! Beef dripping chips went down a treat with the steak pie. Really enjoyable tea, food really enjoyed by everyone there. Only downside was we were eating in a basement and the decor was slightly lacking, mudlark chic. Wasn't our vibe! Tea was good though. Waiter a bit needy

Absolute gem of a place. Such a lovely atmosphere. Matt and Joe (with the tattoos) were both friendly and attentive, and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Sunday lunch was 1st class, Pie was amazing and all 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed all our food. Thankyou for your great hospitality, highly recommend this place everyone!
