Ye Olde Fleece Inn in South Lakeland

Great gastro pub in an even better setting. Staff were friendly, food was excellent and a good draft beer selection. The black pudding bon bons aka deep fried battered black pudding balls were a highlight. Dropped a star as a couple of menu items were unavailable and the wait for the mains was a bit longer than expected.

Very good food, very friendly staff, excellent service & Floki (dog) was made very welcome with water & a treat. The oldest pub in Kendal scrubs up nicely.

I came by for a good meal after a long day of travel and they were able to accommodate me without a reservation. Great meal. Steak and ale pie is becoming my favorite 😍

Service was good and dogs are welcomed which is why we visited Ye Olde Fleece Inn. I ate the cod with pearl barley which tasted of lemon, refreshing and light. Hot chocolate was rich and delicious. The place was very busy when we visited on a Saturday evening, I recommend booking to avoid disappointment.

Nice pub and restaurant. Dog friendly which was great. Nice selection of tasty dishes to choose from. Some lovely dessert too. Just what we needed to fuel our walk around Kendal. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Visited for lunch today and this place did not disappoint. Excellent fresh food, very tasty and big portion. The burger was one of the best I've tasted and the Cajun Chicken & Cheese Baguette was packed full and delicious. The staff were all very polite and helpful. Not the cheapest of lunches but I always say you get what you pay for and it was definitely worth it. 💯 will visit again.

Fantastic pub, a real gem. What a local pub should be.Went for a pint and a quick sandwich, ended going back for tea.I had an outrageously large and tasty ploughman's. The barmaid said that they didn't have any ham but would add a few other bits😋😛it was huge, probably the best ploughman's that I've had.My partner had a curry and really enjoyed it. Top food, great staff, brilliant local pub *****

This place is very deceiving. Looks small from the main street but it extends back really far and the decor is excellent. We visited it twice over a week and the food and service were top notch.

Vibrant, atmospheric and charismatic. Great food and staff too. Superb location and great decor. Food excellent too.

Looking for Sunday lunch in Kendal and all we see is closed pubs.Eventually find this pub and what a find. Great pint of Hobgoblin and very tasty roast beef lunch. Bit slow on service but we weren't in a hurry once we had our drinks.
