Another fabulous lunchtime spent with family. The six of us all thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere ......and Prosecco! As regular visitors, we can highly recommend Ego at The Fox Cub as a lovely dining experience.

Food was nice, service a bit slow today to be honest. Portion size was good and fairly reasonably prised. Steak seemed really small though considering it was nearly £30 and thi k the bread appetiser would have been more enjoyable if the bread was warm or came with some butter/garlic butter as well as oil. Few little things but overall I nice meal

My partner arranged my 50th meal here. Bit of a mix up with menus. Service charge added to bill and we tipped as didn't realise..bit cheeky that even though its on bill. Food was lovely and service was great.

Lovely place, beautiful decor and large garden with plenty of outdoor seating. Only issue is the close proximity to the dual carriageway.Unfortunately I've just re-visited and had a meal and I've needed to downgrade it to 3 star's from 4 as the food was poor.It was kebab night so I chose the vegetarian option of halloumi and unfortunately it was bearly cooked. Only the halloumi was cooked fully, the red onion was completely raw as was the courgette and peppers. The wraps were also cold.In fairness my friend had the lamb kebab and said it was cooked better and tasted nice, so maybe its just the halloumi.I also had the strawberry and passion fruit Eaton Mess which was tasty but a bit disappointing as the passion fruit was just ice cream and the strawberries had been blended to almost oblivion into whipped cream. It would have made a big difference if they had added a couple of fresh strawberries ontop of the cream mixture just before it's served.I'm also sorry to say that the young girl who served us was miserable and didn't listen as she got my drink wrong, I'm just glad I checked as I was driving and would have been over the limit.

Always consistent quality food and it's very good. Friendly staff and service isn't rushed. This is not a fast food place. Look upon it as a typical Spanish restaurant where the food is freshly cooked but will take a little time to arrive dependent upon the number of people dining. Sit back and chill.

The restaurant is finished to a high standard. We sat outside prior to eating and the road noise was, at times, loud, but not too annoying. We sat down to order, having chosen what we wanted outside, only to find out the kitchen couldn't make a mixed kebab. We challenged the poor waitress as to why this couldn't be made and explained we were looking forward to this meal choice, and if it wasn't available we'd rather go elsewhere. Amazingly, the kitchen found it within themselves to make me a kebab, but I felt like we were putting them out. The meal came and was OK, not wow. The other meal we ordered was prawn linguini, which was so bland. I hate to blast local restaurants, as I know how hard it is in these times, but there are too many restaurants around this area of excellent quality, and I'm sorry to say we'll struggle to justify returning. Please remember the customer is usually right and you should strive to make their stay the best you can, and that includes the kitchen.

Good Food, staff were great and very accommodating.Very nice atmosphere and lovely little countryside restaurant.Only downside is they added a 24% service charge then asked for tip without showing they had already added service charge meaning they got almost £50 tip I'm not saying I wouldn't have given this but to add 24% then ask for more is a little off to me.

Picture perfect presentation, georgeous flavours. The service from staff was lovely, did not have to wait long between courses. Resturant was lovely. Highly recommended. My photos don't do the food justice.
