Hospital Inn in South Ribble

Went at 6pm Saturday evening, very quiet at first thought it was not open.Ordered gluten free fish and chips having been coeliac most of my life, I was very disappointed with what was presented in front of me.Fish under cooked soggy batter awful!Maybe changed chef?Had always enjoyed eating here,but on this occasion very poor.

Very slow service. Took 35 mins to order after pestering. Main course and dessert both slow to arrive- almost two hours by the time we got the dessert. Would have appreciated a warning at the start if there were delays. Food was fine if a bit skimpy on the meat. Forgot to bring a drink then charged us for it.

Yet another fantastic visit, food was outstanding and as always staff friendly and helpful! Keep up the good work!

Very good food and beers staff really friendly

Very attentive and friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Portion sizes were very generous but the plates being red hot made me suspect a microwave was used. Food was pleasant enough but nothing to write home about.

Had a fantastic evening at the Hospiral Inn. Amazing starter and pudding for £1 each! Lovely main course too. My only complaint was it was too nice and we couldn't manage to eat it all!!The staff were attentive and friendly. Thank you for a lovely night

Okay. Not great. Our starters were good (cheesy garlic bread, nachos with toppings) but the mains were disappointing (cheese pies, steak and ale pie). Chips were a bit rubbish and the pies weren't great. Not sure we'd come again.

Visited last night with the family and was blown away by the quality of food and the taste was sublime. The young waitress was attentive and didn't miss a trick. To the whole team, thank you for a wonderful meal and we will definitely see you in the near future.

Had our annual Christmas party here 6 December for the knitting crew. Lovely setting, very friendly staff and delicious food. Would definitely go back to enjoy this pub/restaurant.

Fantastic place, delicious food and a fabulous drinks menu! Lots of outside tables on a grassed area, which also has a nice little fence all around it. Also a lovely seating area on the outside patio. There are lots of outdoor heaters for when it's cold. We have just moved into the area, a lovely short walk from our new home 🏡. We are really happy this will be our local from now and can't wait to visit more often!
