"Nestled in the heart of the community, catch up over an expertly kept pint of cask ale, a G&T or a glass of Prosecco. If you’re feeling peckish tuck into a pizza, a fajita or one of our hearty pub classics, cooked with care. With a warm welcome and something always going on, we’re proud to be part of the fabric of the local area."

Had a lovely time here last week. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced pub food and drinks. Lovely large beer garden and easy parking. Whole pub is lovely and clean including the toilets. We will be coming back soon.

The pub itself is really nice and the food was good . Only thing that let it down was the gents toilets. I don't know if they were having drain issues that day but my God; it really stunk of stale urine, to the point you had to hold your breath when you went in. Only 3 stars , only because the toilets were so bad.

Outstanding pub!Friendly environment as soon as you enter. Had a child with me and they had highchair options which is fantastic. Drinks are brought to you by friendly staff member and really quickly. There is one member of staff who I would like to praise. That would be Shelley. She greeted us when we first came in, my child made a slight mess on the floor and Shelley helped me clean it up straight away. She was very friendly and very helpful. All the staff members at the fleece were incredible but had to give special recognition to Shelley as she went above and beyond for our visit. Thankyou so much fleece for an enjoyable visit. Will defo return

We have been back to the fleece for the first time in along time for food. It has improved greatly and the food was nice. I would go back as the staff were nice,it was more cleaner and organised. The bar was good and the food nice. May give more stars in the future if this standard was to continue but a bit apprehensive as in the past it not been good. But after today I would go back for both food and drink.

Main points are: great pub with superb range of drinks, especially on draft, but even better staff. Yesterday me and few mates went and had a great time. The staff service was good and poured great pints (even superb baby Guinness'). However throughout the evening the staff (who I made sure check names: George and Phoebe), including I assume the duty manager, they checked we were okay and everything was satisfactory, which you don't get in many places if any. Not to mention it felt like a warm and welcome pub due to the rest of the clientele were similar. Will definitely be returning for the six nations! Come on Wales!

I reviewed The Fleece two years ago which I have deleted as it wasn't a glowing report. However I felt after last night's visit I needed to change my review.Went with the future hubby for a date night covid measures are in place and being done very well.We had to check-in at our table and download the app to order. All very straight forward and simple.I think the guy that seated us was called Jack (I'm rubbish at remembering names) he was very helpful and made sure that the changes we asked for to the meals we ordered made it to the kitchen. When the food came everything was correct and all meals were pipping hot which was a huge bonus. This may sound like an obvious thing but we've had a few meals out recently where the food has come out and it's been lukewarm.I had the low calorie lasgne which was very tasty, one of the nicest I've had in a while. The only things I'd comment in was that the menu said I'd came with a large dressed salad .. it was a small handful of lettuce leaves with a few slices of cucumber and a slice of tomato. My partner had Hunters chicken and gammon egg and chips (he claims he's still a growing boy 🤣) he made some changes to his meals and was very happy when they came out almost spot on. Only thing missing was the coleslaw from his hunters chicken. All in all huge improvement from my last visit staff were helpful and friendly, food was very good, and it was a lovely end to a slightly tough day.
