"Freshly cooked Mediterranean food, cocktails and local cask ale, served with a smile at exceptional value in Little Hoole. In a charming country style pub situated along the A59, only a few miles from the Ribble Estuary and Leyland, Ego at The Fox Cub is a must visit for its Mediterranean food, family friendly dining, local cask ales, cocktails and Sunday roasts."

Lovely place, beautiful decor and large garden with plenty of outdoor seating. Only issue is the close proximity to the dual carriageway.Unfortunately I've just re-visited and had a meal and I've needed to downgrade it to 3 star's from 4 as the food was poor.It was kebab night so I chose the vegetarian option of halloumi and unfortunately it was bearly cooked. Only the halloumi was cooked fully, the red onion was completely raw as was the courgette and peppers. The wraps were also cold.In fairness my friend had the lamb kebab and said it was cooked better and tasted nice, so maybe its just the halloumi.I also had the strawberry and passion fruit Eaton Mess which was tasty but a bit disappointing as the passion fruit was just ice cream and the strawberries had been blended to almost oblivion into whipped cream. It would have made a big difference if they had added a couple of fresh strawberries ontop of the cream mixture just before it's served.I'm also sorry to say that the young girl who served us was miserable and didn't listen as she got my drink wrong, I'm just glad I checked as I was driving and would have been over the limit.

Always consistent quality food and it's very good. Friendly staff and service isn't rushed. This is not a fast food place. Look upon it as a typical Spanish restaurant where the food is freshly cooked but will take a little time to arrive dependent upon the number of people dining. Sit back and chill.

No reduction if only have main course. Small portion. Extra £2 for Lamb. So £19.95 for a small 1 course Sunday Lunch. Staff keen to hurry you on. Disappointed as now off to work in Out of Hours GP. Best part of the meal was the free Salt.

Good Food, staff were great and very accommodating.Very nice atmosphere and lovely little countryside restaurant.Only downside is they added a 24% service charge then asked for tip without showing they had already added service charge meaning they got almost £50 tip I'm not saying I wouldn't have given this but to add 24% then ask for more is a little off to me.

Fantastic quality food, very caring and attentive staff and a bar that's well stocked. The service from both restaurant and bar was great with the added good sense of humour and warm personalities. Very accommodating and will definitely return. Great experience xx

Picture perfect presentation, georgeous flavours. The service from staff was lovely, did not have to wait long between courses. Resturant was lovely. Highly recommended. My photos don't do the food justice.
