Just been for mothers day. Food was delicious, portion sizes good too. All of the staff from the bar staff to the manager was very welcoming and friendly.

Very busy but staff are wonderful! My daughter has dairy allergy and they made sure they made a kids meal dairy free although it wasn’t exactly on the menu! Our meals all tasted amazing and the portion sizes are huge! If we’re ever in that part of the country again we will be back!

A really nice place to enjoy a meal in the restaurant area or just relax in bar area enjoy a drink and watch sports on the many screens. The food has always been enjoyable and value for money.

Lovely birthday meal, steak on a sword who could ask for more!?! The menu is great and we are looking forward to going back to try more dishes. We felt the puddings were a little over priced but were delicious, added bonus of wallings ice-cream!Something we didn't know was that if you join the mailing 2-3 weeks before your birthday you get a voucher for a birthday treat, despite having my driving licence the staff (who are lovely)couldn't do anything without a code ...

Myself and 5 of my friends went to Hunters for their 3 course Christmas meal. The food was really good. The vegan menu was excellent! I had the mushroom tart, the nut roast and then chocolate junkyard for dessert. All three courses were fabulous, my friends all seemed to really enjoy their food too. The tables were all decorated with Christmas crackers and Santa hats, the place looked really nice. We were then invited to play a few (free) Christmas games winning a bottle gin before moving to the dance floor to dance the night away. Over all a lovely evening, great food, helpful friendly staff with a warm friendly atmosphere

Wow!! We've not been here for quite some time, but oh my - how things have changed! Food is simply outstanding 👌 we're more local to Haighton Manor, Hand and Dagger, White Bull at Alston, and Alston Arms ... genuinely, none of them compare to Hunters. My mum had roast leg of lamb, kids had chicken wraps, husband had scampi, and I had one of THE best cheese and onion pies that I have ever tasted. Presentation was spot on, you could see the thought and care which had gone into it, and the food ridiculously hot - nothing tepid. Whatever you guys have done here, whatever staff changes you have made - DO NOT change them - keep doing what you are doing, and keep serving really good food, really well. WE WILL BE BACK 😃

Me and my mate went for a late birthday treat last week and we both got the mixed grill swords. The food was absolutely lovely and everything was cooked perfectly. The only thing nicer than the food was the staff. You can tell they all enjoy their jobs and were as nice to each other as they were to us. From just passing us/each other with a smile or a hello to being extremely polite whilst taking orders or even having a conversation with you. Absolutely loved it and will be back again.

Excellent service and good covid secure dining. Good English pub food. This was my review from my first visit. Last night I ordered the same fish pie. I was expecting the same as before but was left sadly disappointed by a sloppy concoction which was mostly potato and cheese. Don't know where the white fish chunks of salmon and white fish where this time. Don't know where the king prawns were this time. All I found amongst the cheese and potato was a fishy flavour and two small shrimps. Presumably it has some sort of fish stock but sadly no actual fish. So I was extremely disappointed and ripped off. The fish cakes I ordered for a starter were equally as fish less. I am so disappointed. The only saving grace was the impeccable service from the staff. Last time we had waitor service but this time we had to order at the bar. For a meal that cost £104 this is so below standard that I would give it a 0 star if I could. The pictures were from my first visit.
