Lovely hotel but breakfast cold and under cooked brilliant for wedding 💑

·

Lovely atmosphere, surroundings and staff. They allow dogs so we like to take them for a walk and stop by The Mill for a bottle of wine on the way back 💕

·

Log fires, friendly staff and views out to a duck pond make this venue pleasant and enjoyable.

We went to listen to the Northern Soul Music which was good. However the pub itself, terrible service and as for the so called locally sourced pies (looked & tasted like a pie from the local Spar). The Gravy cold, pie lacking filling and Garden peas?? Not for me, mushy peas all the way, lastly totally overpriced in my opinion at £7.50.. Shame as the venue is gorgeous with beautiful surroundings and a great record shop where my husband can spend hours in..

Having hot gravy spilt on our trousers is not a good start. Food slow and the pies were awful and the chips coated with salt. Management unhelpful. Not be going back

Had food in the cafe. Small choice made smaller by the fact a number of items not available. Peas arrived in a pot swimming in water which my mum didn't notice a tipped them on to her plate. Quite expensive for cafe pie, chips and peas which included frozen chips. When we asked for the bill the waiter came to take payment and we said we hadn't had the bill and didn't know how much it was. He just said I do but didn't give us a bill. Not a lot else there most of which was closed. Considering it was a Sunday I would have thought it one of the best days for getting sales. There was a nice pottery studio offering paint a pot activities for children which was lovely.

Having been quite a few times over the years, this venue is a firm favourite. Plenty of outdoor space and equally a really pleasant environment indoors too. Great service and brilliant food every time. A great environment for children during the daytime and well behaved dogs are always welcome too.

·

Absolutely love this place. Beautiful surroundings whilst enjoying a relaxed hour or so with either a caramel latte or chilled savignon.

Great venue with good drink selection, helpful and pleasant stay. Garden and lake area is always nice to see and walk around.Good size outside area with the current social distancing so you're not sat too close to anyone else.Current table service set up is a little slow but not that bad.Loved here before covid and still love it now!
