The Plaice Fish and Chips in South Ribble

Just had fish and chips, very nice and really nice friendly staff. Plus not too expensive.called in for lunch 01-07-22 very pleasant new owners, food very good and very reasonable price wise. highly recommended.

Small chips are generous. Homemade donner meat is delicious. Staff friendly & helpful.

Food awful and small portion, flies on Food in shop and sure was charged more because was festival day, my 1st and last visit.

Very disappointed with food from here. Chips were cold and rubbery and fish taste like old oil. Won't be going back which is a shame as I came here very often years ago when there were different owners. .

Just moved to this area and thought we would try this chippy and I’m not going to lie it was the best I’ve ever been too the portions were really good and fresh, lovely clean shop and the staff are lovely and friendly I’ve been twice since as my kids say they really enjoy that chippy and my kids are usually fussy great little chippy highly recommend

Went for lunch. Not going to lie this place is a hidden gem. Best fish and chips. Got lucky with the lunch time offer of 4 quid. Owner was very pleasant. Went down a treat! Definitely recommend.

This is a great little chippy and they are always friendly and pleased to see you whether you call in the shop or they deliver. The food is always fresh and hot and very tasty. Chip portions are huge as are the large fish. Puddings are delicious and the mushy peas taste traditional rather than marrowfat tinned. Highly recommended.

Ordered from here last night, not sure if the meals were warmed up from lunch time, the fish was chewy and tastless, the batter was like rubber and the chips weren't so good either. And (for the price it cost) I was expecting a very tasty 5*meal.
