British Raj Express in St. Helens

Some months ago we ordered online and when I went to collect food place was shut down. They charged me with no food delivered and had to claim my bank to get money back. Today we have ordered a set menu and when we got home food was completely different to our order. Very disappointing

Ordered food with an already extended delivery time of 1 hour 30, called after 2 hours to be told my order would be another half hour due to being busy and because I live outside the area, if they can't keep to their delivery times they shouldn't deliver to other areas..And the food was cold.Wouldn't use again after the service received over the phone when calling for an update. Really poor and wouldn't bother, order somewhere else.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! Terrible place. Website said had 10% discount which didn’t work when applying online, called up restaurant and was told “probably expired pal”. Ordered regardless and when food turned up in 2 hours (told would be 1 hour) it was awful - undercooked, cold and nothing like traditional Indian food. Would never order from here again!

Ordered £35 of food at 7.20 pm Sat night . The food had still not arrived at 9pm .I tried to contact them throughout the night to find out where the food was . After an hour of trying, it became clear that the phone had been taken off the hook . I had no phone call to say they could not fulfill the order or to let me know what was going on, yet they had took payment. Shocking service. Will never use again and would certainlynot recommend !!!

The mix shashlik kebab comes with mixed tandoori style meat, vegetables and sauce, wrapped up in a naan, for £7.95.I weighed mine out of pure curiosity, as it's recommended for sharing between two people, and it tipped the scales at 1.8kg.That amount of food means nothing though if the quality isn't up to scratch, but it is. It's delicious. Can't say much more than that.

Items of food missing from order . Said they would deliver but never did. Curry was ok and have used them before but wont be again. Plus kebab and chips is actually just kebab meat and chips. They need to adjust their menu.

Ordered food for my son, order did not arrive at all. Phoned the shop and they said the system was down, I asked If they could send the food seeing as they had already took the money and they disagreed. Wont be ordering again from here.

I normally Order from here all the time but tonight I am extremely disappointed. My partner rang up ordered our food and give the woman the address and postcode, an hour and 20 minutes later the food still wasn’t here so I rang to ask where it was. The woman had then got the address wrong and didn’t even write the postcode down, then for the man in there to call me a liar!! When the food finally arrived the delivery driver didn’t speak a word and the food was absolutely DISGUSTING not to mention my chicken was black! I took one bite of the food and was completely put off! It was also freezing. The customer service skills are shocking, the food is shocking, and so is the hygiene rating and I am really not surprised. The place needs to be shut down!

3 hour wait for food!!!!!!We ordered food at 6.30pm last night online and it said it would be 50-60minutes. 2 hours later and starving now tried calling lots of times and no answer because the phone had been taken off the hook so had to drive over there. Not the only 1 complaining. Food hadn't even been cooked yet! Disgusting treatment from the manager and disgusting long wait. Finally came home with our food after an arguement and 3 hours after we ordered it. Would never go back and would urge to avoid

I have just ordered from h⅝ere for the first time. The total order was 41pound, we waited 1hour 20mins for our food and considering the circumstances at the moment with all this lockdown I didn't mind the wait.After getting my food and sitting down to eat it, I noticed before that things had spilt in the bag already.My partners chicken korma was that watery that it didn't stay on the plate the chicken in all our meals was not cooked properly and the tikka kebab was just smothered in tikka sauce and hardly any meat.The popperdoms were brown they was burnt that much. I will definitely be sticking to vindaloo from now on.
