Eagle and Child in St. Helens

I ordered the house burger. Without lettuce and gerkhin. The burger come plain even though was advertised on the menu with onion, tomato and coleslaw. I told the waitress she took it away and said it now doesn't come with these items even tho they Are advertised on the menu.Surely the chef could have given me some coleslaw and tomato. Even the waitress said it was embarrassing.The burger was also dry and overcooked.The burger was also like a piece of cardboard

Excellent locals pub very well hosted with good beer and great bowling green. Also great entertainment from time to time. Highly recommended 👌

The Eagle and Child is a great little pub.There’s a warm welcome and a great selection of drinks, and lovely friendly owners and staff. And dog friendly too! 🐕Beltin little boozer!!!

Was nice to go in to pub and get seat and be able to have drink etc staff made us feel very welcome nice little old pub but don't do meals 🙂.

Only went to the pub to play bowls in the evening so didn't eat or drink. Rainford is a lovely place and this pub looked very nice inside and a friend of mine tried the cask ale which he enjoyed. Would like to go back.

Lovely old country pub, with a friendly atmosphere & a good pint served with a smile. What more could you ask for, also Dog friendly.
