Galleria in St. Helens

What a lovely gem of a place .and I had never been before! Last minute decision to go for a meal and I phoned to book. Lady was so helpful in getting timing right for us ( we had a tight window) Food was gorgeous..all freshly cooked..it makes such a difference. We enjoyed it so much we decided go all out and have dessert and both ordered the same. Anyhow there was only one crumble left so I ordered something different only for them to surprise me and find one for me as well. They couldn't have been more accommodating and we will definitely be back. Thank you

Went tonight for a catch up with friends. Wonderful service, friendly staff, decent cocktails. My goat cheese and beetroot 'patė' was lovely but came with just one crostini, not enough for the amount of goat cheese. Fresh tomato and roasted red pepper soup of the day was also good, however the salt and pepper chicken was 3 strips of breaded chicken strips with a chilli sauce?? No salt, no pepper not grilled? Quite disappointing. Our mains were decent. I had the asian pork belly which came with stir fried noodles (didnt think the combination worked to be honest) the pork belly was tasty though. My friend had the beef and that was seasoned very well and tender. Overall it was a nice evening out, the local art on the walls is fab and i actually walked away with a piece!!

Lovely restaurant. Good, attentive service by friendly staff and delicious food at sensible prices. What more can you ask? Maybe some nice art on the walls that you can buy and take with you...... oh, they have that too! Definitely worth a visit

Food looked lovely 😍 the starters were both nice, could have a bit more bread with the goats cheese, than two tiny pieces. The ox cheek was delicious, the chicken was a bit dry though. Service was very polite and attentive.

Great restaurant - food is delicious and great value for money, fabulous ambience, friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

Nice enough venue, clean and safe distancing with lovely staff. It has a limited menu so don't expect a lot but what there is looks ok on the menu.I chose hake and risotto but I was disappointed, the hake was dry (overcooked) and the rice was just not warm, in sufficient quantity and was very bland.My companions had belly pork and roast chicken dinners which looked ok and they both said it was alright.Would I go again? Yes, possibly, but not in a hurry.

Lovely atmosphere. Tasty starters, both Ox cheek and Lamb tender and the beer battered onion rings are the best I have EVER had!!! Deffo recommend you try these! All food well seasoned. The prices very reasonable. The only downside was when listening to the specials at another table, it became apparent our first waitress had missed out one of them. If I am in Rainhill again I would like to come back and try something different.
