Good service overall, food was tasty. Definitely good for families or parties. They got a roast/carving station where you can get your Sunday roast food, so that's good too. Good selection of drinks overall.

Had a pleasant afternoon meet-up with friends. We all had different meals from the menu and all were good. Parking much easier if you can go mid afternoon in the week. Always a busy place at weekends.

Steak salad is gorgeous, my regular! Always well cooked and tasty,Carvery was lovely, lots of options and all piping hot! Thanks Andy for great service as usual !Compliments to the chef 👨‍🍳

Four, sometimes eight of us as friends visit here twice a week most weeks. The only thing we find is the vegetables are a bit rubbery. The staff and management are exceptional, very affable and helpful. Never had to complain about the food or service..We generally have Carvery, okay its not to everyone's liking but we all enjoy it.So thank very much to all the Staff and management at Lymewood Haydock.

so as a lorry driver we don’t get many good places to stop for dinner but this place is great location and the carvery is always amazing. the only thing i could ask you to improve is consistency some days the veg choices are delicious honey roasted carrots and some days plain dry chopped carrots. if you’re a fan of mint sauce the minted new potatoes are to die for!!the little young fella on the carvery and the lad with the cap are chatty and always willing to help out.would definitely recommend

Excellent value carvery. Beef and turkey of very good quality and extensive range of veg. Save some room for the cakes on offer. Decent Rioja was well priced. Pleasant and efficient service.

Originally rated a 2, as we arrived and was rudely told it was carvery only by a women. We returned a few weeks later for a child's meal out the day before their birthday and was welcomed lovely by a gentleman. It's a nice atmosphere pub. The food is nice enough (hard poppadoms, hard bread but otherwise edible and yummy) the food is also very good priced and makes a relatively cheap meal out as a family and great for the kids to go and play instead of sat bored.Unfortunately all the play bit wasn't there, unsure if its due to covid or renovating, but kept the two little ones quiet. We saw the colouring map then found some crayons round the corner also another good thing every pub should have 😂Never tried the carvery so can't comment.Cake away is fab and all puddings were nice. All food and desert selection are varied, something for everyone 👍Quick service and friendly staff (2nd time around)3/4 star ⭐

Birthday meal out disappointed. No starters available, meal was ok I suppose. Half the sweets were unavailable, and the ones that were were nothing like the ones on display. £50 wasted in my opinion.Booked online 4 days ago, so a simple email to say half the food isn't available would have been helpful

Came in to dinner last night with my elderly father and was greeted at the door very promptly and politely, despite it seeming to be busy the service was excellent and staff were extremely accommodating of my father’s dietary requirements and helped me to find full details of all allergens on a tablet they provided. Then came the food, I myself had the carvery and was very impressed by how quickly and efficiently the chefs were able to deal with such a large queue. My father had the chip shop supper which he seemed very pleased with and it was a huge portion. Food was excellent. Staff was excellent. I would 100% recommend this venue and will definitely be returning.

This was very Very very disappointing today! The food I got for take away was disgusting I wouldn't even give it to be dog. I actually can't believe it's even been allowed to be served! Shame on the chef! This is usually my favourite place for a carvery. Recommend my friend to go 45 m8ns away! Mash was watery, stuffing like mash, Yorkshire pudding like slop it was absolutely disgusting. How can people get away with serving food like that 🤬
