Manor Farm in St. Helens
Where is Manor Farm?
🏠Mill Ln, Rainhill, Prescot L35 6NE
"Your next visit to Prescot wouldn’t be complete without a visit to The Manor Farm in Rainhill. An old 17th-century farm house that was converted into a pub in 1977, tradition is at the heart of everything we do. Inside we even have an original well containing fresh water. We’re big fans of cask ale at the Manor Farm and offer a rotating selection of regional and national beers to try to suit every taste. And to go with it, we have a fantastic range of traditional pub food. From light bites to hearty dishes that will keep you going all day long, we’ve got something for everyone. If you’re lucky enough to visit us on a sunny day, then make the most of it by enjoying our large patio areas that have fantastic views of Merseyside."

My wife and I arrived about 5.00pm for some food however when ordering at the bar they had no sausage and mash or gammon or steak pie so we had to choose an alternative explaining they were awaiting a delivery. We chose chicken tikka masala. A few minutes later the bar person informed us they had no nan bread but we could have chips instead.

Lovely pub but only one person behind the bar and a 50 min wait for food

Lovely pub very pretty. Food service quite poor. Waited absolutely ages for our meal. 2 turned up wrong and upon ordering specifically requested certain things due to health issues...waitress still delivered food to table saying "thats not what you ordered is it"! The rest of us had finished our meal by the time the correct meal was delivered. She was very apologetic and polite, no issues with staff at all, just not overly impressed with the kitchen!

Really warm welcome by the bar staff, quickly acknowledged and served. Nice warm atmosphere and feeling of safety during th we precarious times. Will definitely be making regular visit back to the Manor, very homely. Thankyou.

It was my first time visiting here and it was a very warming welcome, all the Christmas decorations made it feel cosy. The lunch was lovely, staff were polite and the conservatory with heaters was a lovely place to sit and relax.

Lovely hard working staff very polite and helpful nothing was too much trouble ...just needed a few more staff as we had to wait quite a while for each course and could of been a wee hotter but apart from that the food was delicious thanks

Not been for a long time, so called in for a meal after visiting whiston hospital. Both the meals we had where good, although they did take an age to arrive. A nice smell was coming from the open fire near the well as well. The main thing about the place though was it was almost empty. There was probably only about 10 people in the pub and 3 of them are staff. Overall it was very good.

Its a nice place to visit, unfortunately summer has past but when it’s nice they have a great beer garden, if it’s drinks or food it’s great as it’s peaceful enough to enjoy good conversation, the staff are really friendly and accommodating, on our visit there was a minor hiccup with table service as the QR codes were not working to order food. Many would be put out by this but the staff an more than accommodating to help your needs. Food was on you simply had to ask the staff, food orders are usually done fairly quickly so no need get frustrated with long wait times as they take good care of you. On a whole the atmosphere upon look around the pub is rather chilled and laid back many people enjoying each other’s company in a relaxed environment to what this place offers would I revisit yes I would highly recommend this place to anyone hope to visit again soon.

Classic old pub with lots of beams and large fireplaces. Lots of seating outside to the front and rear to enjoy on a nice day. Good range of beers and service was great . Always love seeing the well that is inside the pub with a glass stand on cover and lighting all the way down . Good piece of history to enjoy your beer .
