Can I score zero?Portions are quite small and staff are really rude. We only go for gluten-free and it drives me mad how they refer to GF as ‘gluten’. As in, ‘Did you order gluten fish and chips?’. Er, no, I ordered gluten-free!! The owner is really abrasive and argumentative. Last time we called ahead to order GF and when we got there they lied about telling us a time on the phone. Who argues with customers like that? And then she told us, ‘well you’ll just have to sit in your car until they’re ready’. Clearly they’re busy, but come on; a bit of basic customer service wouldn’t hurt. Will not be going there again, I’d rather go hungry.

I used to go to margs every other week from Liverpool when saints played over the road, went back today for the 1st time in years, nothing has changed still the best fish around. Definitely recommended

It's a pretty rubbish chippy. The food isn't great and Marge is incredibly rude and doesn't seem to actually want customers. Apparently she started doing gluten free because her business isn't doing well, but she hardly ever seems to actually make gluten free food.Servers don't wear masks and prices are different every time you go.If you want a good chippy I'd suggest The Crispy Cod, which is round the corner on Knowsley Road. If you want good gluten free food then I'd suggest Mr Chans Restaurant, at the bottom of North Road.

Excellent local chippy that provides traditional English fish and chips. Marg makes her own home made mushy peas, all products are cooked fresh to order. Marg also cooks gluten free food. She is a pillar of the community & a saints fan through & through.

Very poor. Dried up Sausage . A few dry chips. Peas no taste, like water. The only thing that was nice was the pudding. Won't be going again.

First time I've had anything from this chip shop and it will be the last. It was Good Friday and obviously there was a big queue but that doesn't excuse them selling tubs of what was only green liquid which should have been tubs of mushy peas. It is totally unacceptable, unprofessional and deceitful.

I went there Tuesday 29th March 2016, Had Gluten Free Fish, Chips & Mushy Peas, Daughter Had Cheese Burger, Hubby Had Sausage & Chips. It was Absolutely Delicious........Best Fish & Chips I Had In Years (4 ) since being told i had Celiacs Disease. She Even Sells The Gluten Free Batter Mix, (Might Buy It Next Time To Do King Prawns In Batter)This Will Be The Chippy I Go To From Now OnWELL DONE - HIGHLY RECOMMEND
