The were meant to give me a refund as i canceled the delivery of a pizza that was very late, 1.5 hours. Still no refund and no communication from the store. I think the manager or franchise owner is very poor at their job and doesnt care about customer services at all. Just look at these reviews. The place is a shambles. Ill raise a claim with PayPal.

Great staff in tonight was kept up to date on the progress of my order, food was great and piping hot, altogether great service

Pizza's arrived more than 3 hours after ordering. The app said pizzas were cooked at 8pm but only arrived at 10:30 so were clearly just left waiting under a little heat lamp until they were sent out for delivery. Food arrived cold and the cheese was very dry. The sides, again were cold and almost tasteless. We tried phoning the store multiple times whilst waiting with no answer. Really wanted to call up and cancel so we could order somewhere else as we were super hungry and naturally didnt expect a 3 hour wait for below average pizza. Will be telling everyone to avoid this place. You SUCK papa Johns St helens! 😤👎

I ordered two vegan pizzas from them as always. While eating them, halfway through as I was drunk, I realised that the test was different on one pizza so I checked the toppings and realised that I have been eating real chorizo!!!!!!!!!I have been a 100% vegan for two years and these idiots made me eat meat!!!! I am totally disgusted!!!! I will never order a pizza every again!!!!!

Expect a big chain like this to be consistent but this was absolutely awful. Sides were fine but one pizza was missing toppings and cut in the most ridiculous way and the other had what I can only describe as an aggressive amount of cheese. So much cheese that the base was doughy still and the toppings were barely warm through and soggy under it all. Most of it went to the dog and won't bother ordering again.

Ruddy awful! Genuinely the worst service ever. Me and pinpip ordered two pizzas 🍕🍕 at 7.30 and it didn't arrive till 10.30! That's 3 hours! ⌛⏳⏳ I understand that they might be busy but they could have let us know before ordering or at least at some point during the 3 hours between me ordering it and it arriving. Or even better let us know and give us an option to cancel the order so we can arrange to get food elsewhere. I was starving! When it did eventually arrive it was cold ❄️❄️, undercooked and had the wrong toppings. We tried several times to phone up but they didn't answer the phone ☎️☎️☎️. Which is particularly annoying cos the only way you can get a refund or cancel your order is by phoning them. I was very sad. 😿😿😿Definitely going with dominoes next time.

Reasonable Pizzas but quite expensive compared to other takeaways and delivery is always late

Leaving second review on another acc because the quality has dipped slightly over the recent weeks and it needs to be noted.Prior to a month or so ago the pizzas were always thicc and JUICY. The base had ample thickness for the tomato and cheese to sit. The crusts were always of good size, attracted lots of tomat and the stuffing was 10/10.However the last 2 times I have been go as follows08/04/22: Large Cheesy Tom w/ stuffed crust. The pizza had about 1 inch of dead space either side of the crust. When opening the box I thought I had been given a medium. However the size was somewhere in between. Moreover, the crust on this pizza was absolutely gargantuan. I could not believe it. A stuffed crust is usually larger than standard crust, however there was no need for the crust to be this big. I wish I had taken a picture. These two factors considered left the base of the pizza to be incredibly small and disappointing. The only saving grace was that the base was of normal thickness and therefore had satisfactory cheese and tomato ratio. This cannot be said for the latter...15/04/22: Large Cheesy Tom w/stuffed crustGave this store the benefit of the doubt."Maybe the chef had an off day. We all have them from time to time, it's only human, I understand" I thought. However, much to my dismay, it was NOT a one off, and this lower standard of pizza appears to be the norm. This time my pizza was extremely thin, as if I had ordered a thin base. At points it was so thin that no tomato sauce congregated, and so the base was crispy and almost burnt. I had to work my way up half the slice in order to get to any reasonable ratio of base/cheese/tomato. And even then it was still underwhelmingly thin and lacking sauce. The crust wasn't as large as last time, and it held a considerable amount of stuffing. This was the only positive part of the pizza. However I realise if I hadn't ordered stuffed crust, there would be no enjoyment to be had anywhere on the pie.I shall give them a month to increase their training and quality and try once more. If there is no improvement I will have to have a papa John's hiatus circa 2016-2019 again :(Ps. Not just me who has described this experience either. My friend reported the crusts being huge and base extremely thin before I even had my first bad experience.

We ordered online at 6pm. The pizza tracker crept along, updating regularly. Then at 7pm it told us the pizza was delivered. We waited a few minutes to see if it was just updating prematurely but nothing. At 7:10 we received a text offering a percentage off our next order (great, we won't be making one) and so tried to ring the shop directly. After 10 minutes, someone answered then left us waiting whilst they looked into it. They told us that, despite the tracker changing half an hour before, the food had JUST left the shop. His explanation was that they have to 'complete' orders before new ones are accepted on the system. When it arrived, it was cold. I'm actually shocked by the poor service. Stop accepting orders if you can't get them out properly. And to top it all off, you can only ring to enter a complaint with the wider company Mon-Fri 9-5. Won't be using them again.
