Robins Lane Chippy in St. Helens

Had a fish and chips and it was really good. Girls in there are friendly. My new regular fish and chip shop.

Can't say I've ever had chips from a chippy that were so bad, what went wrong?

Don't no how its got good reviews it's not nice at all

I've been coming here for a few years now and I'm telling you this is the best chippy in St helens.Food and hygiene wise are perfect. Prices are fair aswell.The guys working there are professional with their work, some of the girls do need a little more guidance but do a good job.Overall a place I will continue to go to into the new year.After another visit yesterday on the 8th April. I found that some of the girls especially the middle aged girls aren't as friendly welcoming, I'll walk past first to see which girl is serving from now on, the young blonde is definitely the best of the lot.But yesterday I also suffered a stomach bug from the undercooked onion rings. Which is for the edit in my review.The place is great but some certain girls aren't as professional as others.

Called at this chippy the other day after reading the reviews,,,,,I jus had the chips and curry,,,and I can honestly say that the reviews wasn’t wrong ,,it was fabulous ,,,best curry I’ve had for years ,,I’ll certainly be visiting this place on a regular basis

My friend and I came in the other night I ordered some food it was absolutely awful never again the staff are rude and the place doesn’t look very clean and there is not a very nice environment overall wasn’t all that people make out

I have been a regular here about 1 every 2 x weeks mostly buying a large portion of donner meat so I can make a donner kebab for myself at home as a treat… never again!! I bought my usual today a large portion of donner meat costing £4:60… what a disgrace!! It’s more like £1:50 worth and tasteless!!!! Bye bye u robbing lot… !!!

Best fish and chips in all England, food always served hot and fresh, simply delicious, friendly and helpful staff, absolutely recommend it .

Best chippy we've had in St. Helens.Arrived a few minutes before closing and they were more than happy to fry off two fish for us with short notice.You know how you worry about getting chips just before closing as you might get the scrappy bits at the end? I needn't have worried. They were the best chips we've had locally by far. Great taste and not at all greasy as chips go.Large chips are as described, large. Some say large but serve you a portion not fit for a between adult. Not here.Fish was lovely too. Good crisp batter and a good size.The place looks clean, tidy and well managed. Two workers were very friendly as well.Worth a drive even.

First time using this chippy tonight and must say it's the nicest chippy I have used in a while.Chips nice and fresh , fish was the nicest fish I've had from a chippy and portion size is great.Fast and friendly service and very clean so will be using this chippy more often.
