Love this place. No music or t.v. just great beer and conversation, and Phil and Amanda are the best hosts. All the staff are friendly, and everyone is willing to help you get the right drink for you.The whisky and gin selection is epic. All those that frequent it are friendly, and politeCouldn't recommend more if I tried

Nice location and ale, a bit small but well proportioned

Nice to see it open again. Loads of customers enjoying good beer and company. The Blue Mango next door was also doing a roaring trade with their new tapas menus

First visit since before lockdown. Still the same great choice of beer, friendly staff and drinkers and it must be the only place you can read the Morning Star in the quiet moments.

If you like a proper pint of real quality and a nice bit of peace and love, then look no further

Such a good place this. A wide variety of real ales reasonably priced. The Precinct is a great vibe for drinking outside hope this continues after May.

Great place been coming here since the opening. I would recommend it. Especially for the good beer try the porter's always good never had a bad one.🍺🍺

Excellent micropub. Not much strawberry puree flavoured craft ale on display, but solid, excellently flavoured, excellently kept near classical beer. There's a best bitter exploding with malt and varied hops, and a blonder beer exploding with hops, but not to piney or citrus-sy, just with lots of flavour going on. It's a good place. Beer is reasonably priced too.

Great little boozer. If your looking for generic beers or larger don't bother. The Skew sells real ale, Cider and some spirits. No music or tv and only sells bar snacks. If you want a quiet chat and a quality beer it's the place for you. If you want a pint of Foster's your in the wrong place.

Very friendly with a good choice of beers and ciders which change often. I can always find at least 2 or 3 that I'm happy with. It's a small space so you often get talking to people on the next table. Highly recommended if you enjoy beer/cider and good conversation
