Stanley Arms in St. Helens

Myself and my partner were taken here for a meal by his uncle. The food was absolutely delicious, staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going there again.

The Stanley Arms is a lovely pub doing what it knows best. We had not been for a while and decide to visit again.The welcome and environment was lovely and the order was taken quickly. The food came a little slow but it did look busy. The waitresses were all very young and tried hard but lack a little organisation and leadership. I don't think the manager was in that day. Seems peculiar as it was a Sunday.The food quality was good lovely meat and vegetables on the roast dinner. Prices seemed about right perhaps a touch high.Overall lovely night but other places nearby just as good with cheaper good food options, not sure next time I will be back.

Recently had a hot and cold buffet for 50+ guests. The food was exceptional and plentiful. The staff and service were welcoming and very proffessional. Overall the Stanley arms was a wonderful experience which calls on us to revisit it again and is on our returns list of pubs.

5 star service,. 5 star food, 5 star hospitality, 5 star quality interior/exterior. We have only visited once so far, based upon. Recommendation from a neighbor. However this is now on our favourite locations. Superb classy pub, with gorgeous interior, friendly staff and excellent food! Can't recommend enough.

Really good home cooked food, friendly attentive staff. Drove past it for years , never went. Glad we did. Recommended.

I’ve not been here for about 10 years but decided to go for lunch yesterday. It was as cosy as I ever remembered it to be, nice decor, friendly staff, good atmosphere and tasty food. Will be back again and won’t wait 10 years this time!

Amazing service, professional yet warming. This is not just pub grub the food is amazing and the specials are just that. The decor and ambience was lovely and felt like a nice treat. Booked already for our next visit and bringing the family along. It’s been on our doorstep for years can’t believe we have only just tried here.

Visited here for food. An outstanding service was received. The food was great too - real good homemade food. Highly recommend especially for a Sunday dinner!

Only came across pub by chance passing through to go to St Helen's , it was our first time to go and Eat there today , food was beautiful, whoever the chef is ,our compliments to you and your team. Had Prawn cocktail OMG, Delish 😲 and the roast beef dinner again OMG Gorg 😲 lovely staff working there nothing was too much trouble, thank you , we will be back again 😊

Wow. Initially we weren't impressed with the menu choices but once the food came the menu made sense. Everything was cooked to perfection, from melt in the mouth gammon to the Angus burger and the awesome steak pie. Everything looked hand prepared and fresh and those super thick chips must take real skills to get cooked in the middle without burning the outside. Top marks to the chef. Great to go to a place where someone really knows how to cook. The dessert was awesome too. Perfect profiteroles and a lemon drizzle loaf cake that was soft and moist with just the right level of lemon flavour. Service was good and the atmosphere and decor were nice too. Plenty of free parking and also a large well equipped outdoor area. We will definitely return to try the steak at some point. Very highly recommended.
