Such a lovely place good beer, massive outdoor area and good food. If you want to catch the sun while drinking this is a great place. Lots of room for kids to play if you have kids. The only slight negative is when they are very busy you can be waiting a while at the bar.

Absolutely awful experience. We came out as a family for Motherâs Day and pre booked our meal 2 weeks prior. We arrived and got seated at our table, we waited 30 minutes and not one person came over to us. I went over to the bar and explained the situation and a waiter came over and said the manager said we could have a round of free drinks. After this we continued to wait a further 30 minutes for our staters. They were absolutely awful. The soup was full of pepper and nothing else, the mushrooms had no sauce, the halloumi was horrendous and looked awful. We had a 18 month year old baby and repeatedly asked for the food to be brought out first, it arrived after everyoneâs meals. When it did arrive it was full of pepper and caused the baby to cry.We waited a further 30 minutes and our starters still wasnât cleared. At this point weâd all had enough and our Motherâs Day was ruined. My dad passed away last year and it was my mums first Motherâs Day without him and it was awful.I spoke with the manager who gave us everything for free but couldnât care less. Wasnât interested and seemed happy we was leaving so they didnât have to serve the main course (we left after the starters).Theyâre obviously under staffed and the staff they have were not trained and wasnât interested. Very disappointed and will not be returning again!!

Shocking isnât the word.Moved to st.helen just under a year ago, decided to go here for lunch on Sunday afternoon as the reviews looked good. However, the food&service we experienced from here today may possibly be the worst iâve ever received anywhere in a long time.We were sat in a room away from the bar area, where one other table was, they had their mains and was ordering desserts. We (2 of us!) waited 45 minutes for our order. When we asked a young girl why it had taken so long, she stated the kitchens response was âthe kitchen have too many checks onâ. Okay? well simple customer service would be to inform ordering guests of a wait on food surely? When the food eventually came out, it wasnât even worth the wait. I ordered the sunday roast which was missing 2 items stated off the menu, the gravy may as well of been salt water. Sourdough bread was cold. Other meal was the german sausage burger, but came as a small pork sausage in some white bread? no sauce as stated on the menu either. Not one member of staff apologised for the wait or asked how our food was. Place wasnât clean eitherAbsolutely appalling and never again would I waste my time dining here.

We were at a funeral the other day. My friend who had organised the wake needed some IT assistance with photos and music. We were abley assisted by a lovely young man called Ryan who was kind, polite and very courteous to us all. He was able to help. The place was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly and the food was good. Plenty of parking all made the experience much more bearable.

Called for a coffee and a bacon on toast while I was on a morning walk.Served by a lovely young lady and the food was nice too.Lovely surroundings(overlooking the cricket pitch),and reasonably-priced too.Definitely worth a re-visit.đđđđ

The food is excellent. Really excellent. Really enjoyed the food. Presentation was good. But won't be going back. The room has a double outside door that doesn't close properly, and it was drafty and cold. The menu is quite bizarre, the concept of small Dishes and large dishes used, an odd concept as the small dishes operated like Indian street food. And the large dishes like a traditional English menu. As a result we got food in a really odd order, was getting the small dishes, what we would consider a starter after the main meal. The staff where rushed off their feet. Obviously not been taught any edicate and protocol, like not clearing the table when people are still eating. It took 30 minutes to serve all the dishes. There were five of us.This could have been a superb experience.
