We have not been for a while but that was our loss...the food was outstanding, meats tender, veg perfectly cooked and sauces complimentary...deserts that show a passion for perfection.Thanks for everyone's hard work & service 👌

Dont really like to put post up about really amazing places to go eat as will get even busy, as alway busy down to amazing food, plus I would have to say the best dessert you will ever eat. The staff were friendly, me and the wife got a table after about 5 mins but had a drink at the bar. So two drinks, food plus dessert for only 40 pound we will be back.

This is easily our favourite pub we eat at and are back regularly. Food is always great, staff are friendly and atmosphere is good. If your after an oldie pub with amazing food give this place a try.

Went here to celebrate 🍾 my mums birthday. There were 7 of us. Nothing was too much trouble , table was all set up for us with added bonus of crackers on the table. The food was delicious and so tasty 😋. My dad said best pint of Wainwrights bitter he has had in a while. Can't wait to come back.

Absolutely first class food, all home cooked, you must go on an empty stomach ample portions, very busy but well worth the wait. Excellent service many thanks. 🥂👍.

Beautiful home cooked food. I had the steak and onion pie and chips that was absolutely devine steak soft and very flavoursome. My partner had the steak, Stilton, bacon and mushroom baguette that he said was brilliant and the chips are the best. Reasonably priced for the quality and the stag are always really friendly and helpful xxx

We had a great birthday lunch for my mother today! Thank you to your excellent team for providing such a welcoming environment and great experience for my little family.Such lovely tenders, fantastic home made food (huge portions I must say).
