The Crispy Cod in St. Helens

Went to the chippy to order a better burger and was told they don't do it I had a big order and I just walk out not we don't do it but we will do one to be help full but nothing I will not go in the chippy again

Ordered food from here so many times but the food is going downhill ordered chips and regular cod ,chips were full of grease and under cooked and the regular cod was vile could not eat it its not like it usually is flakey and tasty this was rubbery i found was chewing on it absolutley awful think they have changed there supplier wont be going back for a while

I order from the Crispy Cod regularly for delivery via Just Eat. I have never had cold food until tonight. The food itself was lovely but I was very disappointed that both meals ordered were almost cold. The boiled rice was stuck together in clumps. Very disappointed.The delivery person made a comment when passing the bag over “ it is hot cause I’ve come straight from the shop” as I am only 0.2m away this was not correct.

My wife bought a fish cake and chips, I had a large curry and chips. The chips were disgusting, far too many things to say about them. Neither me or my grandson could eat them, disgusting. First and last time using this shop. Ps. I'm being generous with one star.

Ordered a chicken burger and chips, got home and the chicken burger was just about edible, was real chicken with a crispy coating, had a salty, peppery flavour. The chips I would expect from chippy to be great, they were greasy, soggy and very poor.This was my second visit, first time I never reviewed and told myself to go to Chipmonks, should have listened to myself.£7.60 for chicken burger and chips, too expensive when half went in the bin.

Had fish and chips, got home and the fish tasted like ammonia and that tells me the fish was off, to far to take it back so had to just accept it as a bad experience.One bite was enough and I've not touched fish since. Very disappointing!!

Normally a decent meal from here. But tonight , the chips were cooked, just, but not crispy, very soggy so threw them away. The steamed pudding was overdone. The pitta breads on the kebabs had been sliced down the center so we could not fill them . And the sauce had been poured all over the donner meat rather than in a separate container. Disappointed.

20.47pm 26.02.22 I called and asked in a kind and polite manner to establish the status of my order after being quoted a wait time of 56 mins. After waiting for 1hr 40 I mentioned I thought it should have been communicated to me there was excessive wait times. When I asked was there a possibility to cancel was responded to with" Oh I can't be arsed with this" and the phone went dead. 3rd time imy order has been late by has been late by more than 50% of the scheduled time and this time but the response is not satisfactory

We had family over from Wales tonight, I insisted we order from yourselves because we are always impressed and it is always lovely.We have been ordering from yourselves for a long time, I'm talking many years.Tonight, when we recieved our order that was more than £48 in total, we were bitterly disappointed.We ordered three mixed kebabs with salad, to say we were disappointed is a bit of an understatement to be honest.They arrived with no salad, there was barely any lamb and the kebab was thin / bitty.I rang to discuss this with staff at the shop, who insisted there was no salad on the receipt they recieved, when I have a copy of the order with salad stated. Staff continued to argue this instead of apologising for the mistake or system error.I mentioned that the lamb we were given wasn't the usual lamb we get on a kebab as we order this regularly, the staff on the phone again disagreed and advised it's the same as normal, which we are very aware it is not. The staff advised they had been very busy on kebabs today and noone else had complained, which to be honest is just beside the point.We are really disappointed and I was embarrassed that I had convinced my family to order from yourselves.I won't be ordering again due to the bad order and experience when calling to discuss this with staff.
