Ordered a vegetarian dish and was provided with a meat dish instead. Ordered mushroom pasta dish and they had put chicken on it when I hadn't requested it. Very disappointed overall getting a simple dish wrong.

Nice local hotel with a family run feel to it. All the staff were polite and happy from the moment I stepped in to reception to checking out.The room was bright, clean, comfy and was just right for my leisure stay; nice ensuite with a rain shower. The bar sets a great environment and is well stocked.Breakfast was lovely and full of local produce.

I have been a customer before…. Wasn’t exiling but was okay…. This evening me and my friend went for a roast dinner… a traditional Sunday dinner… so I was expecting a good roast…. Was actually uneatible… such a shame…. Staff lovely xx

Room 8 was amazing, room 7 not so much, cracks in wall, tea and coffee facilities a let down, broken tray only 1 pack of 2 biscuits, at the room price point i would of expected a cafitier with some filter coffee, also robes available and individual toiletries not shared with previous guests. Meals in restaurant were mediocre, prawn and salmon salad at a price of ÂŁ12 serving with tiny prawns, slightly browned salmon on a bed of leaves, with squirts of mayo would have expected better for the price, wild mushroom carbonara quite bland, but I have to say service all round was exceptional, taxi booked upon request, iron brought to room straight away, waiting on staff very attentive could not fault them

Another excellent meal at the Kirkfield.Excellent cut of steak. Best I have had in a long time. Complimented by an excellent choice of red. Lovely staff and very tentative for such a busy afternoon. Can’t wait to call in again soon.

A quick visit to the Hotel bar for a cask beer pre train.A warm welcome and a choice of 4 lightish ales (no dark / strong beers as "don't sell"). Some new ales to try & good quality (incl a gluten free).Bar a bit quirky with sports memorabilia, but well worth a return visit.

A long drive from the South West on business and my first visit to the hotel. Right from the start I was given a very warm welcome. Food and accomodation is great. What really stood out though was the friendliness, attentiveness and efficiency of the team. Holly in particular is an asset to the business. Definitely recommend and will be my 'go to' whenever in the area!

Decor and atmosphere are lovely. The food was really nice, very well presented and a lovely place to go for a meal. Definitely recommend

It’s a great place with beautiful decor and very helpful staff. The food smells and tastes really nice. The only downside for me is not enough information on allergens in the menu which meant the waitress had to keep going back and forward to the kitchen to check. An allergen menu and more dairy/gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options would be good.

Truly amazing stay.Very energetic, positive and efficient staff. High ratio of staff to guests which resulted in quick and efficient service.Rooms are very clean, comfortable and modern. We had dinner and breakfast and both meals were of great quality and local produce. Best full English in a long time.A special mention to Bernadette who made our early morning very pleasant!Only snag was no parking for hotel guests. You have to find a public parking space and walk to the hotel.Thank you for a lovely stay.
