The Oak Tree in St. Helens

On a sunny day it's a great place to take the kids, large enclosed beer garden with climing frame/slide to play on. Good menu, great value and good portions. On a rainy day it's decent inside 👍Staff also great 👌

Brilliant meal, fish and chips which as landlord described as whale and chips when he brought them to the table. Will definitely return.

Very welcoming and friendly.Booking the meal was easy with no fuss. Good selection of beers, the food excellent, good choice well cooked and well presented. The staff were great very friendly and made you feel a bit special. My wife left her glasses and within 5 minutes they'd phoned me to tell me they had them. Definitely will be visiting again

Poor communication when ordering i got fries instead of chips, never given the option as per menu.Overall nice meal tho and friendly staff

Met up with my Brother on his escape from Kyiv, just to have a quiet drink and bite to eat.Never been in here before so didn't know what to expect, We were not disappointed,Friendly reception though we were a bit early landlord was welcoming as were bar staff and the locals we met.Couple of drinks and Gammon for me which was really good and Steak and Ale pie for brother. All very good and tasty well priced , pub was clean and we had a nice relaxing lunch.All in all very enjoyable.Thank you

We called here on Friday afternoon as we was heading home and it was on our way, I've never been before, but we checked the menu out and there looked like there was lots of tasty options! The two girls working there were fantastic, very friendly, polite and helpful. We ordered two courses each, service was quick, the food was hot and tasty with generous portions.We had a few drinks with our food and the bill was very good value 👍If you are looking for a nice easy tea which offers decent food at a good price then I can definitely recommend The Oak Tree 👌👍

Good selection of food, very tasty. Staff very friendly. Live music on selected nights. Public car park at the back and a large beer garden what more could you ask for

Great pub, great food and great beer. The food is good and reasonably priced, good selection of real ale too. Friendly staff who helped us book a table at a busy time and were able to accommodate our needs. Will visit again and would recommend. But this place can be busy in the evenings and at weekends, so would advise booking a table at this time if you would like a meal.
