Stayed one night and despite no radiators or heaters on, both rooms our party booked (6&7) were uncomfortably warm throughout the night. One bed in the room creaked every time someone moved and what sounded like a generator outside the room, came on around 6.45am. Lots of noise outside meant a poor nights sleep!

Staff friendly and hospitable. Thanks to the member of staff who saw us standing with drinks, approached us and offered us a table to sit at even though it was busy and we could not see any available tables. This was a nice gesture.👍 You are made to feel welcome. Would recommend a visit.

Very good location and good value for money.Building oozes character. Had a good night sleep and check in and out was efficient.Felt when checking in they could have been a more engaging but other than that it was a good stay.Very nice food options nearby.

Good real ale. Excellent gin, service good. Sharing platter amazing. Other food delicious. Bed comfortable. Room an awkward shape but a spacious feel.

Everything was perfect from the staff, the bar, cleanliness second to none!!! The rooms had so much personality, old and quaint but so comfortable. The food was fabulous! Would definitely recommend

Stayed in Room 17, which was quite small and cheaply appointed for the £170 per night. Bright green Fire Exit light made it hard to get to sleep. In the morning we had to ring the pub to be let in for breakfast and didn't even receive a Good Morning from the member of staff who let us in. Breakfast options were very limited, and coffee weak, nowhere near worth the £13.95 per person. Two stars as we got breakfast refunded when we aired these complaints at Check Out.

Beautiful traditional pub, restaurant and hotel. Quite busy when we went, but they do take reservations. Lovely atmosphere. Great for a lunchtime drink.

Absolutely couldn't recommend it here enough. We had an evening meal and it was superb, the food was cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. We returned the next evening for drinks, we would definitely look at staying here on our next visit.

We popped in today for lunch and it was lovely! Very attentive staff, during a very busy time, they were all lovely and couldnt do enough to help. Food was amazing both adults and kids meals.

The location of this pub/ hotel is great. On first entry to it, the place was lovely and the pub was very busy. However, we were a bit disappointed with our room. The bed knob was loose and fell off when I touched it. The bedding wasn't very good quality. There was an additional heater in the room which was switched on at the same time as the radiator making the room far too warm. The shower handle was just an exposed thread where it had clearly fallen off. Half the nozzles on the shower head didn't work and thebothers were clogged making the water spray in different directions. The sink tap was loose and moved around when you used it. The walls were paper thin. I could hear whole conversations of the couple in the room next door. It wasn't a bad stay and I have certainly stayed in worse places but I didn't feel the room was value for money.
