The Ship Inn Blackbrook in St. Helens

Called in after a walk through Sankey Park for a much needed pint and it didn't disappoint

A lovely little pub. We had a walk at Sankey valley just around the back and forgot we'd not eaten lunch half way around so decided to pop in for some grub.Was totally empty, the barmaid was very friendly and the food was great! Would definitely visit again!

It's a local pub in a village. Decent pint, value for money. Has sports on the TV's, outside space.

Had a gorgeous home cooked roast dinner and a glass of wine Excellent value for money and much appreciated after a long walk with our dog Lovely welcome for us and the dog Thanks 👍⭐️

Rated this as a 1 star few months ago after buying the what looked like BBQ seagull wings PROPER MINGING to look at and taste, but went back in last week had the burger and was spot on really tasty 😋

Dreadful. The so-called garden bar has no garden, only discarded nitrous oxide cylinders and pills. Absolutely zero ambience. Avoid at all costs.

What a missed opportunity! This pub in on a walking and cycling route. It is on a main road and there are few other pubs within walking distance. It should be an absolute goldmine for the people running it. Instead, the interior is drab, the outdoors is uninspiring and the service leaves a lot to be desired. I just hope someone with a bit of business acumen could advise the owners how to make the most of this golden opportunity.

I called today, asked for a coffee. Sadly they didn't have. Manager said they are looking into getting a coffee machine. They've always been lovely ere, but could do with a bit of a spruce up on front. Needs a bit of a clean up on front. Get rid of the weeds. And the hanging basket, that sadly just sits on floor. Just needs a little curb appeal.
