Wangs in St. Helens

First visit to Wangs tonight set meal B for 2 people absolutley first class food piping hot good size portions and very tasty.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS TAKEOUT. My husband had stomach cramps and my son sickness along with stomach cramps. The food was swimming in grease, some of it cold. We left a lot of it. I will now be contacting the food standards agency. Reported it to Wangs the same evening I was told I would get a response from the owner. Explained we wanted a full refund, they requested photos which were sent, still no refund. As the previous reviewer had a 3 hour wait Christmas Eve,. The owners got greedy taking advantage of the busy period but should have warned clients of the horrendous wait. No thought or interest in their customers, appalling service.

I have used Wang's for years but after the way we have been treated tonight I will never use them again. I know it's Christmas Eve and we expected some delay if they are busy, but we ordered a meal online at 7:30 and it has just arrived at 22:13. We have ring them twice to enquire about the order. The first call was at 9pm, an hour and a half since placing the order and we're told that they were busy and we're in the process of cooking the food. We accepted the reason of them being busy but we have once again had to ring them as still no food. I think at the very least they could have rung and explained that the food would only be delivered after 10pm. It's almost bedtime and we are hungry. This company needs to reasses it's customer service. After being a loyal customer of theirs for many years, I will not be giving them my custom in the future.

For a small takeout it was overrun with online delivery drivers waiting for orders and costing extra waiting time for over the counter customers. No social distancing and priority given to online delivery men first. Waited 30 minutes for a bag a chips and dry when received.

First time at this chippy tonight absolutely disgusting and very disappointing I ordered asalt and pepper chicken box and it was not salt it was sugar 🤢!! I rang back to complain and they always but sugar on there SALT AND PEPPER CHICKEN BOXES as I was told from the manager. I will never order again from this place 🤮🤮🤮

Nice food, usually comes on time but today we have been wating 75 minutes for food. Not happy. It's not acceptable.

1st time we went absolutey rubbish! But,heard they have a new chef? So the last 4 times 10 out of 10 on every diff meal we have ordered. Comes piping hot,always on time & so tasty 😋

I have been using and recommending Wang's for years as it was so good, not any more. The last meal I had was absolutely disgusting, the worst Chinese I've ever had, the chicken was like cardboard, the rest of the meal was mainly onions. I believe that new owners are responsible for the downhill slide, they don't seem to have a clue how to run a business. My advice is that you stay well clear of this place, shame really as it used to be so good,

Recently got new owners and the food had gone completely down hill. I got sweet and sour pork with fried rice and barbecue spare ribs. The rice was stodgy and tasteless. The sweet and sour pork was doughy and tasteless pork with an aftertaste. The ribs where fatty and again tasteless. This tasted like really cheap meat.On top of that, all the prices have gone up. You used to get a meal then an extra 60p for fried rice, now it's £2.50 extra.I've been going to Wangs for years and have loved this place but now avoiding. Don't waste your money.

Absolutely disgusting! We ordered a salt and pepper box, had one a couple of months ago and it was lovely. It was disgusting this time, spring rolls were like dry cardboard. Chicken so tough, tastes like it’s been cooked and recooked. It was Luke warm. Won’t be ordering from here again.
