Ashton's Fish & Chips in Stockport

Adequate, not the chippy it once was🤔 asked for lightly battered fish, whilst the fish itself was lightly coated there was a large amount of batter along the edges which was not good.Gravy you could take a knife to, Coffee was weak. On the positive chips were good but not enough and not enough mushy peas. Shame really because I was visiting Stockport and looked forward to some hometown fish n chips

Today we had lightly battered fish..x 2 There was more batter than fish...coffee was like dishwasher water undrinkable..staff couldn't care less when we complained...downhill from where we remember it.

Love it here generous portion size, and proper chips all made fresh, and very friendly service,always ask if we were satiafied aswell ,only chippy my daughter will eat from xx

I love this chippy! The food is always fresh and piping hot. Its consistently good quality.Its nice to have a lovey sit down chippy meal in the middle of stockport instead of having to use these over priced cafes with soggy and sparse salad stuck on the side of anything you buy.

Not crowded, reasonable menu and one for pensioners, fish n chips, n mushy peas are very good value with a drink included.

Excellent friendly staff and prompt service. Didn't have to wait to long for my steaming hot fish and chips and mushy peas and curry...mmm! Excellent every time I come here when I visit Stockport.

Came here today with my daughter.Ive been a few times before.Not a great experience this time chips were practically white!! Apparently they are using different oil.Leathery tasting chips.And a frozen sasauge. Dont think we will return.

Fantastic service and really friendly staff. It's a good old fashioned chippy. The portions are really generous (fish and chips) and taste amazing.
