Baekdu BBQ Restaurant in Stockport

My first time here. Couldn't believe the charcoal bbq at the table. Great experience and fabulous grub!!

Super tasty but more of an occassional place as it's abit pricey, the doenjangjjigae was really salty - I really miss the shudehill Baekdu

Food was nice, if you like Korean food then you will love it. I found the prices for dishes were a bit expensive for what you got. Small coke £3.50.

Very tasty Korean food which reminds me of our stays in Korea. There is paid parking opposite the restaurant. You might want to book a table in case it gets busy and be aware that there are no baby changing facilities. There are steps to get to the toilets but there are a few tables that are accessible without steps if I remember correctly in case accessibility is a concern for you. I could not see a disabled toilet either but you might want to call the restaurant to confirm that. Otherwise great experience and we enjoyed our evening.

Food was really nice and so much fun cooking it all over the BBQ, we were a big group and tried a lot of different meats and starters. The staff are nice and helpful. Drinks v expensive.

Our daughter and her boyfriend recommended this place and took us along and I have to say we loved it. It was a very different but great experience having the meat cooked in front of us on the table but we would definitely go back!

Good: sweet and sour fried chicken and kimchi egg omelette were delicious. It was rare to find charcoal grill.What can be better: most of the BBQ meats were not that fresh and the restaurant was understaffed.

My OH specifically wanted a Korean BBQ for our date night so we made almost 6 miles to get there. Luckily, we already booked a table as the place was full when we reached. There is some Pay & Display parking spaces just down the road and it's free after 6pm.We ordered 3 meat: Ox tongue (£8.50), Spicy marinated sliced pork (£9.90) and seasoned pork steak & rib (£9.90). Each meat came with a dipping sauce. We also ordered lettuce & spring onion salad (£4.50) that was recommended to go with the grilled meat; pan-fried tofu (£7.50) and a boiled rice to share.The portion of the meat and salad was reasonable for the price but I personally thought the pan-fried tofu was a bit over-priced. Nothing to fault on the flavour-wise as everything was tasty.Very friendly and attentive service from start to finish. They would grill the meat for you so it was almost like watching a performance too.What a night. Thank you!

A real hidden gem. The beef was so well seasoned and delicious, the other meats we had were fantastic.Between 3 of us we had 5 different table BBQ dishes. We were recommended to get the salad, I was dubious as it is lettuce, however the pickled dish that comes with it was a pleasant surprise and a great compliment to the BBQ.We also ordered a lot of sides - the vermicelli was a good choice and the dumplings.I would say you may need one BBQ dish per head if you are hungry, but if you order a few and share them about it is perfect.We were just super hungry, greedy and excited to be out of lockdown!The staff are polite and helpful and who knew Korean beer was so good.I can't wait to return.

Came here last weekend and had a great time! Staff checked our temperature before showing us to our table. The staff were very helpful when ordering, as we'd never been before we needed a little help. We were then brought our hot charcoal that went in the BBQ in the middle of the table. The food comes in any random order (I assume when it's ready) which we were more than happy with. We ordered four different meats for our BBQ which were brought out one at a time once we'd finished the previous meat. The staff cooked the meat on the BBQ for us to excellent standard. It felt like a very personal experience. The food was absolutely delicious! The meat was incredible and the side dishes were to die for. Everything went so well together and was cooked to perfection. Even the side salad that goes with the meat is yummy, I could've eaten a whole bowl of it! I absolutely loved my experience at Baekdu and I'm already planning my next visit, highly recommend! 🇰🇷❤️
