Blackshaw's Cafe in Stockport

Oh my goodness. I haven't had Eggs Benedict this good since my sister wedding breakfast at Brennans in New Orleans 35 years ago! This place has the best Eggs Benedict I've ever tasted. Perfect poached eggs, Hollandaise was amazing. Bacon was cooked perfectly. This was the best meal I've had in Stockport in my 13 years living here. This cafe is brilliant. My OH had fish & chips & loved them. Really nice staff, lovely atmosphere. It was getting busy just as we left.

Can get really busy as in the centre of Stockport. Love the vegetarian breakfast 😋. Totally recommend.

Saturday 2PM. The cafe was busy however we did not wait long to be seated when a table came free. Great coffee. Unfortunately we had to wait about0 an hour for 2 food orders. The food was fine and we were offered complimentary drinks due to the delay. Will go again for beverages only.

A group of us went for Sunday lunch. The beef was one of the best I have had; it was beautifully moist, cooked medium-rare and very good value. I really recommend this eatery

Good food, reasonable prices and nice interior. Low rating because of a number of factors. The booking process and communication is awful. Never answer the phone and the messaging process is slow and unhelpful. I booked a table for 7 for a Saturday lunch for Christmas menu. Some further mix up here and I was told we had to order that in advance. The servers were friendly and sort of tried to help but it felt like they were totally overwhelmed, as was the kitchen. I saw at least 4 tables abandon their wait for food and leave. There were a number of niggles with our food and the dishes arrived staggered so we didn't really all get to eat at the same time. I really wanted to like this place but left pretty disappointed. I would maybe give it a try when less busy but staff seriously need to up their game

Visited for breakfast, was really impressed with the menu. Coffee and food was excellent. Will visit again.

My Friends and myself from British Airways have a catchup every 2 weeks and we visited Blackshaws Kitchen last Thursday 28th October 2021 for the second time.We can all recommend this establishment 100% the food is cooked fresh to order and is exceptional. It is run by a small very friendly hard working staff which nothing is to much trouble for them. They ensure you have a brilliant customer service and dining experience with them.We were even given the red carpet treatment as the trainee Chef with a big smile served our food to the tableThey have created a lovely easy going atmosphere and you are not rushed. Plus the area in Stockport, which the Restaurant is situated is very Victorian witch is surrounded by the historical buildings.Give it a try you will not be disappointed i can assure you of that.We will be visiting Blackshaws Kitchen for our future BA catchups.A BIG THANK YOU to you all at Balckshaws Kitchen and looking forward to our next visit.Best wishesKen Mason.

Came here for an anniversary early dinner. I got the “Sea” deli board as a big lover of fish, and was not disappointed! At only £8, it was amazing at the amount and quality of food received! Both me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again.
