Blue Nile Restaurant in Stockport

We ordered a take away this evening which included 3 Pilau Rice. We sat down to enjoy our starter without checking the rest of the bag with the food in. When we went to dish out the main course we discovered that instead of sending 3 Pilau they had sent 1 boiled rice. We phoned to let them know then I set off back to the restaurant to swap the rice. I fully expected an apology and the correct rice to be waiting for me. Instead I was met with an awful sarcastic attitude from the young lad behind the counter who said it wasn’t his mistake because he read the order back to us over the phone (he didn’t) I wasn’t looking to complain however he said we would now need to pay for the extra rice. I explained that they should be honouring it as it was their mistake. He said it wasn’t their mistake (so how do you explain the boiled rice 🤷‍♀️) and that he wasn’t bothered I was unhappy with the service. I didn’t have a chance to process the awful customer service because I was so shocked by it so I just paid the money (I really shouldn’t have) I left quickly because I was so angry at the way I was being spoken to and on my way out of the door he said in a sarcastic mimicking voice “see ya”. Omg I have never been spoken to so rudely and will never return. My husband eats there with 10/20 of his work colleagues regularly so hopefully it won’t be just our business they will miss out on in future. Really poor service and I’m really shocked because I have always really enjoyed their banter and friendly service in the past and it was our favourite place for a curry. Such a shame he is allowed to do this. .

Gorgeous meal! I had a take away from Just Eat and I didn't realise it was a restaurant until it arrived.The driver was smartly dressed and he had a big smile and a lovely greeting for me.The food was amazing! You could taste the freshness of the food with each bite.I had to Google them because I thought 'this can't be a typical high street takeaway' I wasn't surprised to see it was a restaurant and next time I'll take a trip up there and eat in.The price of the meal was surprisingly and refreshingly low for a restaurant and the for the quality of the food!A big thumbs up from me to the chefs and also for the delivery driver.Over all it was a 10/10 experience.Thank you Blue Nile.

Lovely staff, amazing food and not expensive either! Couldn’t have felt more comfortable and wanted even though we attended pretty late and were the last ones in there. No one rushed us at all. Will definitely be going back and would 100% recommend!

Lovely atmosphere and place, it had really nice lighting and decorations.The place was very clean and organised. Great place overall.Great costumer service, the staff were very polite and friendly. They also checked on us whilst eating, not in an overbearing way but rather as a nice gesture.Overall we had a great experience and the food was really good. Would definitely come again.

Just eaten at the Blue Nile, all I can say is WOW! Easily the best Indian restaurant I have eaten in (and I have eaten in plenty!). The service in this restaurant is absolutely unbelievable, nothing is too much trouble. My mother in laws Karahi was slightly to hot for her taste (she has never eaten spicy food) and the waiters cooled it down in the kitchen 3 times so she could eat it, and she absolutely loved it! And then they put all our left over food into containers so we could enjoy it tomorrow! Cannot wait to come back. Thanks to all of the staff who made it a night to remember! 🙏🏻

One of the best Indian restaurants in the North West, try blue nile mix starters and special biryani mix with naga sauce and you'll know why I've rated this as my number one go to Indian restaurant. Staff are very polite and quick to serve you nothing is too much. Interior is top notch you can tell a lot of money and thought has gone to give the customer a cosy warm feel. There is a car park in the rear but be very careful as the road is narrow and the curbs are raised above your head almost lol so approach with caution. Plenty of car park space. The restaurant has a one way in one way out system due to covid regulations and staff all wear the masks which is good to see. You can go for a smoke at the back of the restaurant whenever you want. Anyway as we booked for 7pm we arrived just on time and was taken to our table almost straight away before we could order starters we had poppadoms and chutneys to nimble on while we make our minds up. I went for a blue nile mix starters and a special biryani mix with naga sauce. I was very impressed as to how quick our starters arrived and the mains after excellent timing even though they were very busy so kodus to staff and chef. I've given both starters and mains 10/10 I was completely satisfied and it exceeded my expectation. Me and my mates were looked after very well and I will visit again. Highly recommend guys.

What a fantastic gem of a place this is. Proper authentic taste which really gets your tongue going with each and very dish tasting different. Service was spot on, despite us booking for 10 and coming with 12 they accommodated and looked after us well and truly understood why it was so busy. Portion sizes are very large so would say 1 curry between 2 is probably a good idea. Definitely coming again.
