Brittania Fish Bar in Stockport

When you spend £14 on fish n chips , tried to pay with old £20 still legal tender until September this year 🤷 refused point blank to take it owner was rude and arrogant !! Great service NOT !

Expensive.... and going off other reviews , people need to try other chips shops. Didnt like and Def Not goin back.

We specifically drive in to this chippy passing a few closer ones on our way because this one just makes the best food. Fish is always and fresh and the chips delicious. Great place.

9/10, The food is incredible. Lost a mark for the packaging, not keen on polystyrene.

Only started using this fish bar recently but the service was very good...Friendly staff & the fish & chips were gorgeous each time.😊

Be warned they don't take card without spending a certain amount - but don't display this ANYWHERE. Making people stand out in the cold. Rude foreign staff who have grasped enough English to provide shocking customer service - disgraceful. Will be reporting to the authorities. DO NOT GO.

Great fish and chips which I have driven from Hazel Grove specifically for in the past. I would recommend.

Was here yesterday lunch. The fish was good and the chips were very good (you could taste the potato, none of those fluffy tasteless chips like you get down south). But they have a problem with hygiene. The person serving was handling food straight from the fridge and handling cash straight from the till with his bare hands. No gloves and no hand--washing involved.
