We had the beef and ale pie and scampi. Both meals were lovely. The waiter called Luke was very professional and attentive, so many thanks to him. We will return.

Attended with 8 others for mine and wife's wedding anniversary. We were made aware that there was a shortage of food as delivery hadn't arrived. We weren't expecting what we got for example when we ordered classic burger, we literally got burger, bun and fries. The food was beyond basic. We ordered honey combe and brownie sundae. We got chocolate ice cream, no honeycomb, brownie bits. Could have ordered plain I've cream for £1.80 less, no refund offered. Table left with main course and desert plates. Shocking.Would we go again- absolutely no chance!

Was so excited to see the bulls head open again but sad to say it’s being run into the ground. The new owners are lovely and friendly but the service is terrible. Horrible queues at the bar. Only two tills and two people serving who can’t manage a queue. People who just rock up get served straight away rather than the people that have been waiting. Their chefs keep leaving so always an issue in the kitchen. Waited 2 hours for food today and it was terrible. Every time I’ve been there’s been an issue and people complaining. They really need to up their game. I hope they do because it’s a lovely pub and great refurbishment would be a shame if their reputation was ruined by the service

Very limited Sunday lunch. They got the order wrong it didn't seem like the only one. The food when it arrived eventually was good (burgers), Sunday roast was awful, staff are doing their best but need to step up.

I like to give new places a try but been twice and felt it was not very welcoming the first time we visited. No smiling bar staff eager to serve was our first impression. We ordered lunch but they were waiting on a delivery so the choice was limited and we had a drink and went somewhere else. The second time, I went again for lunch with a friend, its new, I wanted to give it another chance. We were told lunches would be served from 1pm? It was 12.30 so we paid £5.20 for 2 500ml bottles of coke as we decided to wait only to be told 15 mins later the chef wouldn't be there until 2pm. We were starving and would not have waited/bought drinks had we known. The place is amazing though, they have done a great job revamping it, however, bar staff need to smile more, they need to tell people what is and isn't available as soon as customers ask for or take a menu and provide food if they advertise they do food! I won't be going back for a third visit for a little while...maybe service will improve when they get into the swing of things, I do hope so!

4 hand pumps and not one real ale available. Maybe due to it only opening 4 days before but unacceptable. Saturday night very loud music started at 7.30. Great refurbishment, particularly good outdoor area. However, won't be rushing back.

Dreadful service, dreadful food. Did not know anything as simple as baked potatoes with cheese and beans could be ruined - but it was!Hardly warm, no butter, a mere sprinkling of cheese, side salad was a few lettuce leaves only.Well over an hour waiting for this pathetic offering, which we only ate because we'd waited so long, we were starving! No coffee available as girl behind bar said there had been no coffee delivery! The lone, young waitress couldn't stop apologising, saying chef in the kitchen was working alone. We were then asked to move from our table , as a funeral was scheduled.Good luck to the mourners! Not good enough, Bulls Head - if you haven't got the staff then don't re-open!

Came for lunch but weren't told when we ordered that there would be a long wait. The place had only reopened two days earlier and the weather was lovely so it was busy in the beer garden but there didn't appear to be enough staff. After an hour we asked how much longer our food would be and were told 5 mins, 20 mins later it finally arrived. The steak and ale pie must have been sitting in the oven since we ordered as the pastry was rock hard! The waitress came and asked if our food was OK and I mentioned that I didn't get any veg, she asked if she should bring some but I was already half way through the pie (inside filling only, pastry far too hard) so said no. Fish and chips was good though. All in all not the best experience.

Went on a Saturday, the day after re-opening, at about 12:30 before the place got super busy for lunch. They had no sandwiches available and no burgers. They’d probably sold out of everything from the day before. I ordered the steak and ale pie, my cousins ordered a scampi and chips & a fish and chips and our parents ordered nachos to share. We were out for my cousins wedding dress shopping so we had an appointment at 2pm to get to, thought we had enough time but apparently not. It took an hour for the meals to be made and they all came out at different times. The scampi and chips was a child size portion, the fish and chips looked like something you could get from Iceland and the gravy that came with my pie was atrocious. It was powdery and lumpy. They also gave me a tiny portion of chips and a lump of lukewarm mash. The pie crust was tough and the beef inside was chewy. Only good bit was the flavour of the gravy inside the pie. The staff were polite though and the place has been done up nicely

Came for the opening last night, and to be honest it was a shambles. A lot of staff not seemingly knowing what they are doing, queues out the door for a drink. Booked a table to eat at 6.30 to be told we had to join the long queue for drinks to.order our food! There was no table service. In the end we were told food had ran out!!! I understand it was the first night but surely they should have catered for so many people! Went for a curry in the end!
