Davenport Arms in Stockport

We call it "Thief's Neck"!.. nice local pub near us which we walk to through countryside..beer is excellent..it's a Robinson brewery..my favourite being Old Tom!..the staff are very polite and welcoming..the pub has several small rooms inside..but plenty of outdoor seating front and rear..food wise.. personally we haven't eaten here..but our grand daughter was with us recently and she and her boyfriend did..they both had"steak sandwich" and she described it as "thinner than my patience"!..she showed it to me..and it was extremely thin..in a big thick bun!..but I've given it 5 stars.. because we like it!

Excellent pub, really friendly and wonderful food. If you haven’t been you should!

A good Robbie's pub just inside Cheshire

Dire, dingy and totally lacking f in atmosphere. It has great kerb appeal, but that's where it ends. The place is dark and feels unloved. Indifferent service and Indifferent beer. Not tempted to try the food offering or return in the future. It might tick CAMRA boxes but I wouldn't take my other half.

We kind of came in here by accident, but we're glad we did. What a lovely, friendly pub this is. We came in with our twin babies and many places just don't want the hassle. This place couldn't have been more welcoming. Made us feel so at ease (as sometimes you're not when you have babies with you!). Food was lovely, service was quick. Would definitely recommend. Thanks to all the lovely staff.

Absolutely fantastic! Lovely staff, great atmosphere and my god the food!! Would go back in a heartbeat. Bonus points for one of the best homemade pies I've ever had.

We ate outside under a canopy. It was surrounded by several beautifully maintained hanging baskets which give great ambience to the location.The lady brought out a chair especially for my husband . She was very kind and helpful.The food was excellent and they made me a mocktail especially to my request.A young man served our food to us. So polite and attentive.All in all, a lovely lunchtime .

Always excellent service, my husband tells me the beer is kept exceptionally well. Great menu and well presented tasty food. Beautiful family run country pub. Never been disappointed when we've visited.

Lived near here but had never been in before. The food was excellent and my husband liked the beer too!
