Foster's Fish and Chips Takeaway in Stockport

The Bramhall shop has gone seriously down hill. £19 for a fish n chip dinner this evening for chips that were swimming in oil, over cooked on the outside and hard inside, the fish gave the impression that they have been cooked and re heated in the oil, also swimming in oil. This used to be a reasonable chippy. Way too poor a quality to want to waste 10% of my state pension on ever again.

Great chips. Nipped in for a chip barm and pleasantly surprised by quality and quantity of chips. Double fried fat chips - crunchy and v tasty.

Just paid over £12 for Fish chips peas & gravy, fish was nothing short of disgusting it must have been hanging around for a few hours as it was chewy, worst fish i have ever tried to eat and couldn't. The rest was ok but not worth the money.

Bought lunchtime special fish and chips and curry...was ok but rather expensive for £8......the fish was smaller but in all it was ok ..except for the prices they charge

Best fish and chips ever. Always perfectly cooked and piping hot. Excellent staff who are very efficient and extremely pleasant.

'WON'T BE GIVING THIS PLACE ANY STARS'Me and my work colleague went for a takeaway lunch today at 1.50pm I ordered 2 chicken burgers and the lady said that will be £11 please which I thought was very expensive but then thought it's going to be good.Anyway I took the food to our truck oped the box and there were 2 pieces of what looked like macdonalds chicken sandwiches and thy tasted disgusting, Won't be going again.

Fish and chips bought tonight. Fish ok, but chips soggy and cold. Two fish and one portion of chips cost £16.50, so would have expected better. Used to be a good chippy, fish served with a wedge of lemon, and worth paying a bit more for, but the last two visits have disappointed, hence to poor review.

Ordered on Deliveroo, I very rarely write a review but when Christmas has been ruined thanks to food poisoning it's definitely a reason to give feedback. The Cod was certainly chewy and tasted reheated. We have both just woken up with horrible food poisoning! How dare such a place try to save £5 of raw ingredients let alone on the day before Christmas! If I could rate this any lower I would! And yes we have all heard about the rumours of refusing food to disabled people without masks!

Fosters are the best fish and chips I have had to enjoy. Chips double fried as standard was pleasent surprise, as I like my chips with cranchy feel. Highly recommended!
