Excellent pub for a really well kept pint and decent pub food.

Hadn't planned to stop but after a decent walk past New Mills golf club & along various public footpaths we arrived in Broad bottom about 1.15pm so decided to stop & have something to eat & a drink. Three fishing sandwich, chips, coleslaw and salad meals, one jacket potato with tuna, mayo and cheese...as it wasn't that chilly we decided to eat outside (the landlord said if we were too cold just come inside...log fire burning). Food was freshly cooked, hot, tasty and lots of it. Couple of pints of Strongbow, a pint of IPA and a bottle of zero alcohol beer. Really welcome break to the walk and after we finished we were ready to hit the road again. Great pit stop, highly recommend it to you if in the area...

Lovely pub good food and it's tucked away in the middle of the countryside. My husband had chilli smoked beans and rice. I had apricot, chick pea and lamb with rice. They were delicious.

Great place for food and drinks if you're on a hike or ramble. Really cosy and the menu is both varied and very affordable. Try the Fox Inn house ale, a lovely pint! Will definitely visit again

Great Boxing Day welcome. Lovely stalls and a festive vibe. Great local pub.

·

Great little pub set in a wonderful location that always provides a warm welcome. Lots of outdoor seating and surrounded by beautiful walking routes. Visited most recently during Covid times but they were still providing food and drink through one of the windows.

Nice little traditional family run pub. Does food and has a pool table, as well as sky TV and WiFi. Lovely patio area outside. In ladies bathroom also has lots of useful toiletries for just in case you need them.

This is just an amazing pub. Situated really really off the beaten track, it takes effort to get to but you’re rewarded with a proper old school English pub. Top beer and lots of good outside space. Loved it. Went on my bike.
