Gatley Tandoori Restaurant in Stockport

Great team. Nothings to much. Friendly and a place we've been to 30+ times and will be going more. Lovely food at a great price. Plus you have to bring in your own beers, again keeps the cost down.

Horrible food and service! Would not recommend!!! Visiting Manchester from New York and ended up in this restaurant. The papadums and starter were fine. But the chicken tikka masala tastes like dessert... Too sweet and too much color. When mentioned to the server they say its mentioned in the description... The description says mild... Does mild mean sweet?? Food was bad but the service was worse!

They charge you for asking questions! They charge you double for popodoms because dips are £2 and they don’t include it because at the start they ask you if you want popodoms not do you want popodoms with sauce, the sauce is £2 so we like the hidden cost. All these other reviews were before it was over run. DO NOT COME HERE, I AM SAVING YOUR MONEY and tastebuds🤣

Low rating only because I was lied to. Clay oven fish 🤔 I ordered.Clearly fried fish.The rest of the food was good. Would give 4 star

I went here tonight with my friend for her retirement meal it was such a great evening. Food and service were both excellent. Staff are very polite and nothing is too much for them. Hope to return again soon. Highly recommended.

Good food, reasonable prices and friendly service. BYO for alcoholic drinks. Would recommend for a casual meal with a group of friends.

Amazing food as ever, spotlessly clean, and clear signs for a 1 way system. Covid prevention clearly adhered to. Although the Sunday buffet wasn't available, understandably, we ordered our favourite tandoori mixed grill, no disappointment there. Thanks to all involved.

Best Indian restaurant around! The staff are the best, so energetic, friendly and make you laugh everytime. Legends!Tandoori mixed grill is delicious (comes as a main meal, but I have it as a sharing starter)Its bring your own booze, so thats always helps keep the price down aswell. Especially as there is a bargain booze just across the road.Highly recconemend a visit, especially after the recent expansion purchasing the town hall like building connected.

Been using this Takeaway for the past 5 years. However our last 3 orders have been very poor. The haven't tasted anywhere near as nice as the countless times prior.The problem I think GT has is that it's takes on far to many orders - thus focussing on quantity rather quality. Which is a shame. Unfortunately we've decided to give this place a break for a while and try somewhere different. Maybe we'll come back. But maybe we won't. I fully appreciate that it's very popular place. But they should pay more attention to the quality of food they serve!!!
