George & Dragon Hotel in Stockport

Went there on Sunday to watch the City match for the 1st time & loved it! Loads of screens & a great atmosphere. I didn't have a Sunday dinner, but they looked great & made with effort. Thanks to the staff for their welcome & great service! I'll definitely return.

Great pub great atmosphere food very cheep and very nice great portions for the price.

Not a dog friendly place and incredibly noisy. Only one small area you can sit with your dog and the table was very high so my kids couldn't eat of it. We were initially told we could sit in a nice quite area but we're forcibly moved

Food ok..bit problematic tonight..2 of the wines..not available but got one sorted but main thing was there was really loud and obnoxious guy at the bar and staff obviously knew him. Came for a chill and didn't happen. ..wanted to support local pub but should have stayed home with a takeawaypub bushould have

Just had the Christmas dinner there everything you could wish for was on your plate - just wonderful. Very nice friendly staff.

Very good customer service at the George. Food at high standard, quick and cooked perfectly. I Ordered chicken & mix, generous portion of chicken & my partner ordered Epic Mixed grill, he upper the 4 oz to 8oz, steak come exactly as ordered and as fussy as he is he enjoyed his full meal. No complaints, be back soon thanks guys happy

Excellent food and service. We popped in for lunch and chose the steak and ale pie which was really tasty and a good size too. But what made it for us was the excellent service we received from Leah and the team. Will definitely be visiting again and happy to recommend. Big thumbs up 👍

First pint since last year.Great!Although off a busy road the outside seating area is immaculate,and set well back.Was easy to do the QR Code scan on my mobile before entering as it was fully explained by very pleasant staff.As a single person I had to go inside to pay as the wifi doesn't reach OUTDOORS,which meant I had to bring all my belongings in with me each time I ordered,which was a bit offputting,but no problem.Easy to book a Table for food and sort the NHS Track and Trace for people I have invited that do not have the ability or phone to be able to do this within my group.Good looking menuLooking forward to ordering😀👍

Just renovated when we visited. Very nice furnishings and fittings with a much improved outside seatings area. An half n half pub, food one side drink and sports the other. Real ale was so so on last visit and the Guinness tasted sour-flat so played it safe this visit ordering Carlsberg. An obvious sea change in the kitchen, not for the better I'm afraid, waited too long for a very mediocre meal. A small chicken breast in two small half's?? Made the tomatoe look big! Plenty of peas though. The food was great before so l don't know how a refurb can change things for the worse in the kitchen. Won't be eating there again.
