Leoni’s in Stockport

A fabulous Italian restaurant recommended by a friend of mine. Flavoursome food and reasonably priced wines. Be warned,: the starters are HUGE! I will be back.

Called these guys up before and they said that there was a wait for about an hour for a collection.After reading the reviews and looking at the menu, I thought - I’ll drive down, make an order and then just wait around.These guy not only made a fuss as I had come down, they had some of the most delicious carbonara, lasagna and garlic bread with cheese ready in less than 30 minutes, it was also clear to see they were really busy too.Great people making and serving great food.Highly rec.

We ordered mushroom risotto, penne arabiata and a veg pizza. Everything was nice except for the pizza base was very soggy.

Great food, friendly service, and lovely to have a specials menu. Only confused about the focaccia which came as a plain pizza dough with rosemary sprinkled on top, not really what I think of focaccia as. For people who had pizzas for their mains it was a little repetitive as a result. Overall an enjoyable meal.

Very warm and friendly atmosphere here, service was excellent and professionally done as well as probably the nicest pizza I've had in ages. Really good quality food all round, perfectly cooked including fantastic looking pasta and seafood dishes presented very neatly and enticingly.

Have always ready enjoyed the meals we’ve had at Leoni’s and this steak in peppercorn sauce was no exception. Simplicity itself - perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Always a lovely friendly vibe too - would definitely recommend. (Oh and the cocktails are fab!)

It pays to read the reviews… We didn’t !!!My wife and I were in Heaton Moor looking for a place to eat and sadly happened upon Leoni’s.Our Impression was of a very nice modern and fashionably impressive restaurant, after which it all went totally wrong….For our first course my wife chose a dish consisting of under cooked and luke warm mussels on a bed of tasteless spaghetti, as for my first course I chose baked ribs with a tangy bbq style sauce, this was cold!! it went back to the kitchen and came back over cooked and burnt!!For our second course my wife chose Swordfish which was uncooked in parts and as thin as you like…. or should I say not as thick as you would have liked, needless to say it was rejected…as for me I had the meatballs in spaghetti, the meatballs where over cooked on the outside and pink on the inside!! again rejected.After the above fiasco of disappointingly presenting us with less than third rate cuisine the manager exclaimed that it was obvious that there was nothing that he could offer my wife and I and suggested he would be giving us the bill and deducting all but the ribs and a couple of drinks from the bill, in other words he was asking us to leave.Now please don’t get us wrong, we were offered something else from the menu but this simply was not going to happen because by that time we had totally lost confidence in their ability to cook anything worthy of eating! to further add to this sad tale we found the manager so unbelievably arrogant and rude it was a joy to leave as soon as possible.

Absolutely brilliant food and service. Went with the staff recommendations on the seafood pasta specials and it was a great decision. All three courses we had we're brilliant and a great red wine to go with them. Will definitely be going back..

Wow! A warm and friendly welcome, a genuine interest in how you are, a relaxing service delivered with charm and attention.Food was spot on with flavour and deliciously fresh.Drinks were perfect with cocktails and wine.These guys know what to do and how to do it, Italy has come to the Heatons.
