Libby's in Stockport

Customer service was poor. We had to ask for every little thing and even remind staff to bring part of our order, they just didn’t seem to care. 40 minutes to receive our order that didn’t even need cooking. One customer even left whilst we were there as no one bothered to go over and give them a menu or say hi. We used to come a lot but things have changed.

Brilliant tapas, great atmosphere.. Libby's has has a really friendly vibe and I'd definitely recommend a visit. ps they need to put patatas bravas back on the menu...please 😍

This place could be so good but it's lacking some fundamentals. Staff are lovely, and it looks great.Coffee - Almost always, it's like coffee flavoured water. I receive my takeaway coffee sometimes in a small cup, sometimes in their larger cup. The staff told me that it gets sent back sometimes so why don't they change how they do it? Larger cups are usually 3/4 full. It's like no one working there has been properly trained to make it, they're just shown how to operate the machine.Secondly, not all the staff have to do all of the jobs. It's so crowded behind the counter, with not one person on drinks - everyone does them, so no one is great at them, and between the kitchen, cakes and stools, you are made to feel like an inconvenience if you are waiting for a takeaway as where do you stand? C'mon Libby's - you could be great, just provide proper training and aim for a higher standard.

Never seen so many staff but yet such slow service. Also for a sit down restaurant, you’d expect a bit more than sandwiches for a lunch menu. Average sandwiches also

Customer service really poor. We went for the first time today, asked to sit on the terrace with our dog as we’d seen online that they’re dog friendly.No one showed us to the terrace, we were just pointed in the direction. Ended up walking through the pot wash area and weren’t sure where to go.When we got outside, a member of staff came out and asked us to use the side gate to come back into the shop when we were ready to order.No one came out to wipe a table for us and make sure we could get seated. The tables were wet from rain the day before.We decided to leave due to all of this and couldn’t even get out of the gate the staff member had pointed us to as it was locked.Had to go back through the shop which was difficult as it was so busy.Disappointed as the food looks nice, but unfortunately the customer service is really poor.

Online info and the sign on the door said closing at 5pm. Arrived at 4.05pm and they were washing the floor and clearing up. A hopeless apology about trying to change the closing time by writing on the shop sign; no evidence of that. About 5 staff in the shop so certainly no shortage. Very disappointing.

Takeaway- nice cake. Previously we had been and the selection was much better, but it's Halloween and they were working to a theme. Chocolate cherry brownies all round, they were lovely.

Staff are excellent, very polite and working seriously hard. Our coffees were lovely and the strawberry tart was very tasty. Really good value for money! Outdoor seating spot is great too.

Lovely place to go for afternoon tea, with a great choice of fantastic cakes, don't be late though, these cakes fly off the shelves. Local free parking by the river is limited to 1 hour

What a cute tapas/not tapas place. It's got lots of small dishes to share and amazing pizzas to be had. Lots of space and out door seating out back. We went when it was rather busy but the staff managed even tho they had lots of orders coming in! However I was really won over with the food, which was just too notch, it tasted just sooo good. The table next to us ordered the lamb which looked devine, will need to go back for that!
