Mhariam takeaway in Stockport

I am gutted to be writing this! Really looked forward to a bank holiday treat - ordered a chicken kebab with salad and mint sauce - the naan bread was like uncooked glue, the chicken was OK at best, no sauce and just thrown out - not the service I would have expected for a high profile take away:(

Deelply disappointed, a customer of many years. Ordered a Curry, when I got home was not the right meat and the consistency of the sauce was very poor and nothing like what I had ordered. When I called to complain was fobbed off. Shocked as been a good customer. Sadly I shan't be visiting again.

I have ordered from Mhariam for many years and they always nail it. I've had most things from the menu but recommend the dishes from the Mhariam Exquisite section, particularly chicken chilli and chingri tok jal. Big thank you to the Mhariam staff for their service over the years.

My takeaway was Unbelievable. It was that good, i wanted to ring up to pay compliments to the Chef. Highly recommend the Lamb Saag

I ordered the Naga curry - fantastic.The spinach - brilliant.The chicken - good.Coconut rice - terrible.The "coconut rice" (£2.80) contained about 2% coconut or coconut milk and just colour, sugar (loads of it), cashew nuts, raisins and anything that could be thrown in. Please avoid. That aside Mhariam takeaway passed.

Initial delivery was missing 6 poppadoms and chutney. We phoned as soon as this was realised to rectify... We were offered a refund as it was "too out of the way" but having paid cash we had to opt for items to be delivered. 90 minutes later, poppadoms delivered but still no chutney. Otherwise, food good.

Chicken tikka Masala like water. Chips were wet and soggy. Onion bhajis were black & solid. Gave wrong samosas. Wouldn't recommend went straight in the binI did try to call, there was no answer. I got my order just before closing time. I'm pretty sure you must have known the state the food was in as you cooked & packed it.

Love this place ....tasty curries, fabulous kebabs always good quality meat ...what's not to like ...highly recommend !

I wouldn't say the curry's match their competitions curry from the nearby area but the kebabs and mixed meat starters from here are amazing. It's cooked right in front of you and the naans are very authentic. Staff are friendly and it's a comfortable waiting area
