Miller & Carter in Stockport

Stayed overnight and had dinner and breakfast the next morning. The restaurant and bar area were very nicely decorated and furnished and dinner had an excellent and variable menu although some of the steaks were dear. One guest had an 8oz sirloin which I was a bit embarrassed about because it was thin and small and cost me £22. The 2 other meals and all the desserts were very good. Breakfast was good with a few choices. Accommodation was 'tired' but very comfortable with excellent bed and bedding, good size TV, tea and coffee tray, hairdryer and portable fan and a very good shower room. All the staff that I encountered were very welcoming and attentive and Tom in the restaurant was very knowledgeable and attentive too. I recommend and am happy to give 4 stars overall.

Really good food and service. Went for the lunch set menu which although is fairly restricted is super gold value for money. Had the steak sandwich which was delicious. We had a baby with us and the staff were fantastic, we didn't have a booking but they found us a table away from all the noise and with space for the buggy and then during the meal they were really friendly and helpful, couldn't fault them at all. Will definitely be back.

Had a meal here last night simply stunning. Been to a few M&Cs over the past few years, but this was one of the best. Mainly because of Diane the waitress. Her service was impeccable and she was just lovely. Not in the way, but always there if needed. Simply fantastic. Fair play to her. Totally my new place to go. Not expensive really and food was out of this world. Great food, amazing service. Great place. 👍

Me and my son visited this lovely place. We dined in, we came for dinner, it was lovely. They have no tracksuit policy we didn't know of as we had come from Mansfied, Nottinghamshire to Manchester for a show at O2 Victoria Warehouse. My son had come in Moncler X Palm Angels tracksuit and was asked not to go in but luckily we stayed at a hotel nearby, only 5mins walk, so he went back and got changed to something else. The food was decent, it's lovely and cosy inside with great interior!

Very nice visit indeed, our waitress was very attentive, was a little warm sat next to the radiator but nevermind, still a nice meal 👌🏻

Really good value, decent but not outstanding steak. It's a lot of food for not a lot of money. The biggest thing was the staff, they are lovely, everyone helpful and attentive. Really wonderful service, especially considering how busy it was when we went. I'd go again, but I'd probably get the steak from the 50 day menu

Ate here for the first time this evening and wasn't disappointed at all. The food was amazing, great quality and generous portions. Great choice from the date and steak menu and amazing service from front of house and special thanks to Nicole where nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be back again, thank you again to all the team.

Fabulous food and drinks (cocktails, mock-tails and soft drinks) and very friendly staff!The atmosphere is brilliant too with a cosy but spacious feel.We had three of the ‘Fillet Mignon 10OZ’, ‘Miller’s Dirty Burger’ and ‘Glazed Chicken Burger’ and they were also absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend any of the above.We will certainly be back! Thanks!

Had a really nice meal here last night. Our waitress was excellent - very friendly & made a great recommendation with the Black Angus sirloins. The food was delicious & there was a lovely gesture/ surprise for our anniversary, gratefully received at dessert.. Thanks Miller & Carter, Heaton Moor!
