T G I Friday's in Stockport

I bought TGI ribs from Tesco a while back and decided we’d come to a restaurant to sample them too. I have no complaints about the food, everything we had was delicious and I’m absolutely stuffed now. The ribs were good and the honeycomb cheesecake was arguably the best dessert.My only real issue was with the customer service. Our waiter was Max and he was great, very friendly and helpful, but was clearly rushed off his feet during a busy period. I looked it up and the waiting staff are paid minimum wage. Given that they most likely employ students under the age of 20, that’s currently £6.83 an hour. Surely they could afford to put another couple of waiters on to help with those busy periods?At one point out mains came out of the kitchen before the waiters had had time to clear our table from the starters.Spend a little extra TGIs so that your customers have a more enjoyable experience. Either give Max a raise, because he was working a lot harder than £6.83 merits, or hire some more staff so that current staff can cope better during busy periods.I originally reviewed this as a 4 star experience but I can’t give it that given my perceived working conditions of staff.

When we arrived we was told no walk ins allowed but then managed to book online. Leigha the front of house was very rude and not helpful one bit..we got our starter pretty quick then had to wait atleast 45 minutes for our main which came cold and tough steak! The service was very slow but Lee the waitress was very helpful and got us 25% off our bill due to waiting time. We wasn't charged for the tough steak. We went about a year ago and thought we'd try again but it's no better. Food was not upto expectations.

TGI Fridays have never failed me.The full rack of ribs had a lot of meat on them and wasn't fatty one bit. Great portion size!It's a shame TGI Fridays in general don't stock the "birthday cake" anymore 😢

Lovely dining experience as always. Staff- always so pleasant and food is amazing. Burger buns are often cold on my past couple of visits but they are happy to re-do it if it doesn't need our expectation. Great place 👌

Great service and great food as usual, as we are regular visitors to this restaurant.Unfortunately last night we found the building extremely smokey inside, it was mentioned a few times, up to the point where my eyes were stinging slightly. I don't know if there was a problem with the extractor or the grill?I would still highly recommended this restaurant, but last night was a bit uncomfortable.

Stopped for lunch during a busy time for the restaurant and was made to feel welcome by the staff. Was seated and greeted by a very friendly waitress who was very good the whole way through. Food was delivered fairly quickly given how busy it was and was very tasty. Very good all round experience

Consistently tasty food. Not too busy, even on a Friday. Solid service

Possibly if I was dining, I may have had a different experience. Everyone was friendly and pleasant. We were able to sit outside. That was an unpleasant experience. All the smokers were standing outside the fire door smoking. The fumes were blowing over the outside dining area. We soon moved on.Also, the table attendant forgot to bring us any sugar. We had to ask three times before we got any.

Best TGI I've been too. Great service and friendly staff. Food was excellent and the cocktails 🤩.
