What a gem! Lovely traditional pub, with a modern twist. The food was so good and the atmosphere was wonderful, all staff were so friendly. Glad I wandered in, definitely will be a regular now.

Had the fish & chips was good 👍 For the price, was very good. Brilliant service, excellent beer garden 👌

Although we were late in and too late for lunch we were offered a sandwich with or without chips. It was a whopping great big filling in the sandwich which tasted delicious. Eyes bigger than my belly, I left the chips.I've worked in catering and the girl who served us was very polite.....even though we had walked in as she had started her lunch!

Nice nostalgia trip to a post-Joe Arden Arms. Still a great traditional pub with all the classic features. The food was also very traditional and very satisfying. All topped off with a couple of pints of Dizzy Blonde!

I've been for an evening with live music, and also for Sunday lunch, both times have been really enjoyable. The only recommendation would be a veggie Sunday lunch option, ..and a few more veg with the Sunday lunch. We will go again

Love this place, great old school pub, lots of little rooms. Food is excellent and good value. Plenty of staff and service is very quick. Beer garden is great too...hidden gem in centre of Stockport

Oh dear....we love this old Stockport pub but...the food was very disappointing!Staff and service, fabulous👍😊I had cheese and onion quiche...apparently!My husband had the fish and chips, best bit was the mushy peas!We would return for a drink and warm welcome/atmosphere but not to eat 😔

Quick visit after a recommendation from a friend. It was lovely. Great food, friendly staff and regulars. Recommended!

2 stars because the pub looks lovely and it's clean with a nice outside area.It lost 3 stars because of the menu.I ordered a cheese and pickle sandwich for £4.95 and I was offered coleslaw or olives which I declined thinking the sandwich will be on nice bread and there will be a side salad for that price. Its was a few slices of plain white bread with slices of cheese, not even grated and no side salad! It looked like something a child would have made. They didn't charge me for it in the end but I certainly won't be choosing this pub for a meal again. Maybe a pint, but not with those menu prices.
