The Bakehouse in Stockport

A little on the pricey side, but the food is lovely and the seating area/general atmosphere is worth the extra pennies!

Ordered afternoon teas for mothers day today. Mums and Godmums felt really loved and spoilt. Afternoon teas had two scones with jam and cream, 5 mini cakes, selection of sandwiches, love hearts, teabag the works. So impressed with the Bake House great friendly service and excellent quality. Would high recommend ***** five stars from me !!

We had the bakehouse afternoon tea. The sandwiches were the freshest we've ever eaten and the cakes...wow! There were so many, they were freshly baked and absolutely delicious. There were so many that we had to take some home as we couldn't manage them all.Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bakehouse is a lovely place to sit and relax.We would both definitely go again and have recommended already to our friends at the hospital where we work

Coffee is great as for the breakfast definitely no not particularly that good but I will come again for the lattee and toast

Such a busy little cafe....very hard to get a table. Not sure if we approved of just about every table booked to ' regulars ' There were 4 of us, and we had to sit at a reserved table, until our time was up! Nice coffee though!

I ordered take away afternoon tea for three for a mini baby shower, it was so tasty and there was so much choice. The sandwiches, scones and cakes were all delicious (we had both vegan and non-vegan afternoon tea). Laura went above and beyond to help - thank you so much. Would definitely recommend and will definitely order again/visit the cafe to dine in. Thank you again for such an amazing service!

A diamond found for afternoon tea. Everything was delicious, soo much choice, couldn't eat it all, so was given a couple of boxes to take home. All the drinks were yummy too. Hostess was lovely and attentive, we will be going again. xxx

Probably the best sausage/bacon butty I have had in Hazel Grove and I would give it five stars. Personally I would order from here again.Edit* this was confirmed in another recent visit when the food quality was fantastic. It’s a case of quality of quantity.

Nice open and airy place with white painted furniture and bookcase wallpaper. Staff were pleasant and helpful with my wife's pepper allergy.I had a turkey sandwich on brown with spiced apricot chutney. Fresh coleslaw and salad with pomegranate dressing. Crisps rounded off the plate with a cup of Teapig's everyday tea.Tasty sandwich. More coleslaw would have been nice; oddly shaped plate meant my salad struggled not to fall off onto the table. Anyway... Nice food, pleasant atmosphere.Owner seemed nice, though younger waitress seemed to struggle with idle chat. My wife mentioned we'd passed a couple of times before but never came in - and I don't think she responded, which was odd. But that's a minor point they could do with picking up; otherwise, can't complain.
