Lovely spot in Heaton Moor. One of the best beer gardens. Really top quality pub. Only four stars because vegan options are not great. Sort out the food and it would be hard to beat.

Went at lunchtime, wasn't expecting too much but the food was pretty bad. The staff however were great, one woman in particular was amazing (can't remember her name unfortunately). She went out of her way for everyone and the way she looked after a couple of elderly customers who were clearly regulars was lovely. Won't be rushing back though.

Met with friends for food, got to say it was quite nice, not cheap but good food, well done chef. However the waitress seriously needs to enroll herself in some customers service training or even jst people skills, slammed glasses when brought drinks, rolled eye when we weren't ready to order food, come on lucy sort it out. Tbh they all were a little preoccupied. And ive never had a glass of prosecco measured in a metal measure before being poured in the glass.. yuk. Never normally complain but there is a reason its not my local and was reminded well. Never again 😒

Was mother's day so the place was very busy. But had booked for 5.15 but around 5.45 before our table was ready. Staff were very pleasant but the service was a bit haphazard two nibbles plates ordered only one arrived had to remind. The food was OK but veg a bit undercooked. Desert was good.

Dropped in for drinks last night. It’s a really nice pub, but not a very friendly welcome from the bar Manager taking your order (the guy with the bald head)Equally the doorman wasn’t very friendly upon arrival either….a smile goes a long way.San Miguel a good pint, but a bit pricey, however good atmosphere in pub.Improve the ‘crocodile customer service’ please….

Filet steak which was on offer with all the trimmings for £15 and was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly. Staff really professional, friendly and attentive. Faultless service. Nice relaxed pub with good food and lots of different seating areas. First time here and will come again!

(on behalf of a group dining for Christmas dinner)CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER:The starter was inedible - we were given 'potted pork' which was pork encapsulated in fat. - very difficult to eat.The main meal was very nice - no complaintsThe dessert was very poor. We were served 'pineapple fritters' which was 3 pieces of pineapple in batter with ice cream. At £70 a head this is simply unacceptable. To finish off we were told we would be served coffee and a mince pie. However, after being served last for each course, despite being the first group to sit down. ( possibly as a way to get back at us after we returned the starter) we were then told that the coffee machine was now turned off and were not offered any alternative.Very very disappointed and will not be returning.Linda Lee

Value for money vs. what you get. It was very delicious. But not for the prices- it's a pub not a fancy restaurant. I would pay these kind of prices if nice restaurant. I won't come here again. Too costly.

Booked a table for lunch with two other ladies, both who are longstanding good friends. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly and service professional. The food was excellent and the puddings amazing....what more could you want ? Many thanks to all the staff and we will definitely come back soon. Highly recommended.

Fantastic pub lunch with a generous, delicious portion of fish and chips! I went for the "Northern Upgrade" which is a lovely curry sauce and some bread and butter for an extra quid! Bargain. No beer for me as I was driving but I had a lovely cup of tea, and definitely will have a beer next time I visit ☺️👍🏻
