Family meal time was a great experience. The staff were attentive and polite. The surroundings were clean and tidy. There was no complaints from the family in regards to the food, which was well proportioned, hot and tasty. Overall a very nice evening. We will be dining again here soon.

Brilliant breakfast here this morning. Cooked to order and arrived nicely hot and nicely presented by pleasant staff. Not only that, it was cheaper than I expected and that's a rarity these days. I'd expected to get an all day breakfast from their normal menu, only to fine they have a cheaper menu for the period 10am to noon. Excellent price, excellent service, and an added bonus of sunshine pouring through the conservatory window. Got the day of to a cracking start.

Amazing place, can't wait to go again. Genuinely one of the most impressive buildings I've ever been in ❤️

Just been today with my boyfriend, WONDERFUL PLACE! We have been served by the lovely Debbie who has looked after us with care! Highly reccomended place.

I visited on Tuesday afternoon, lovely clean space, welcoming staff, very big portions and nice food. Staff Kealy and Debbie were both fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. As a previous greene king employee the old rectory are doing an amazing job👏👏Will be visiting again soon.

What can I say, a truly wonderful hungry horse quite possibly the best I’ve ever come across. The entrance was stunning and being greeted by the manager ‘Steve’ then swiftly had our order taken and within a flash ‘Cameron’ popped over with a graceful smile and delivered our lovely hot Breakfeasts. The staff are very jovial and smiley with very at-tentative attitudes.Great food and a wonderful visit, must visit for the evening meal.

Decided to try after reading the reviews regarding it changing hands and being a lot better! The mash was rock hard along with the steak and pie being over microwaved, the chips that came with bland chicken kebab were under cooked and smothered in that much seasoning they were in edible it was as though the lid had fell off it 🙄 the chewy burger and bun was also burnt. Pretty embarrassing as I told the hungry lads it had changed for the better🤦🏻‍♀️ (wasn’t so bad before never complained) gutted as it’s a lovely dining area and not far from us! Maybe we caught them on a bad night however whilst we were there it was almost empty! Old rectory, Stockport, top of the market one!

Staff were doing their best, but very understaffed. buffet breakfast areas were rarely monitored so had spills and mess and no cups etc several times, also no saucers! Breakfast poorly presented and from the main menu the lasagne was awful....poor taste and texture.Staff were friendly and helpful. Felt that covid wasn't being considered by staff at all

Trialing the new food menu today. The food was absolutely lovely. Credit to all the chiefs who have worked really hard 😊 I will definitely recommend the new food to friends and customers

Ages to arrive cold. Half the menu not available. Carrots and cucumber sticks look like they were cut a day or two ago. Steaks missing laces and you would have a new pair of boots. Gravy on the menu, but didn't arrive.Others having similar issues on other tables. One couple gave up and left to have meal at home. Very disappointed.On the way home our 5 year old son said he'd fallen over twice in the toilet because of "water" on the floor. Staff also sweeping the floor while we were eating.
